Jiak Kim House: Modern Asian Dining Experience Along Singapore River

Jiak Kim House is a fusion of Eastern and Western culinary traditions, opening its doors at the former Zouk nightclub to serve modern classics that celebrate the vibrant flavours of Southeast Asian cuisine.

Elegant Interior

The space is aesthetically decorated with black and white floor tiles, custom rattan furnishings, and a feature wall filled with photographs. Its cosy and intimate atmosphere is enhanced by terracotta-coloured furnishings and matching textured brick walls. The tall ceiling is also one of our favourite features of the space!

Start your meal with a variety of appetisers that draw inspiration from Asian flavours, such as the Tingkat of Memories ($36), which features a selection of delights including 7-herb crab cake, lamb goulash and more!

Other appetiser options include the Mushroom Herbal Tea ‘Macchiato’ ($22) which comes with in-house made youtiao and Gula Jawa Foie Gras ($32).

For the main course, they have seafood delights such as the Herbal Scallop ‘Pao Fan’ ($42) and Kam Heong Sambal Grouper ($40), which is marinated in black peppercorns and homemade sambal.

Explore unique choices such as the Challans Duck Two Ways ($48), a personal favourite of the head chef or the Beef Tongue to Tail ($42), with it’s tender rendang short ribs, torched ox tongue, and braised ox tail.

End on a sweet note with the Snow Peak ($22), offering a refreshing Moutai and pineapple-infused sorbet. Another option is the Jiak Kim ($22) – translating to ‘eat gold’ – a flower-shaped dessert adorned with gold foil!

Specially crafted libations, inspired by regional flavours and spirits, are designed to complement the bold flavours of the dishes. Try the Emperor State ($26), which features the “king of fruits” through a homemade durian liqueur, or The Asian Banana ($26), with fruity and tropical notes.

They also have a selection of teas such as Yunnan Pu’er along with an impressive wine collection with over 200 labels to choose from!
