This revamped menu is available only at Thomson Plaza. Aside from Nanyang classics like Kaya Toast (from $2) and Kopi (from $1.80), they offer modernised versions of local favourites.
Something incredible about this menu is that nothing costs above $8!
The new selection includes toasts and space buns, in flavours like Garlic Butter Bun (from $2.80).
If you love garlic, this will be up your alley. The bread is crisp but fluffy and packed with minced garlic. They also offer a Garlic Butter with Turkey Ham Bunwich (from $3.80) for something heavier.
For mains, try the Boneless Chicken Nasi Lemak ($8)! This comes with the option of a Green Spiced chilli or Sambal Balado, and we prefer the latter.
The sambal balado was tangy and punchy, providing the perfect contrast to the juicy, crisp chicken. We liked the rice too, perfumed with a pleasant coconut fragrance.
There are also other options like HK Style Gongzai Noodles ($6.50) and a Laksa Paofan ($6.90), which has the same rich laksa gravy!
The sweet selection is just as enjoyable, with a must-try being the Kopi O Affogato ($3.80).
This combined creamy coconut ice cream and rich, bitter Nanyang Kopi for a balanced drink, almost like dessert in a cup!
Their sweet toasts – Coconut Ice Cream on Toasted Kopi Bun ($4.80) and Kaya Molten Cream Bun (from $2.80) – are also great treat choices.
