Fine Crumbs By Alice Boulangerie: Gourmet Bun Concept In Raffles City With Fillings Like Nama Matcha Chocolate

Alice Boulangerie has opened its second outlet at Raffles City, introducing a new bun concept called Fine Crumbs!

Known for its patisserie items and French-Japanese pastries, the new outlet transitions into a full-service restaurant, offering a wider menu and a dedicated line of artisanal buns.

Spacious & Bright Interior

The Raffles City outlet features a cottagecore-inspired interior with soft wood accents and natural textures.

Beyond the chic interiors, they also offer al fresco seating by the entrance, ideal if you just want to drop by for some coffee and buns.

Alice Boulangerie Raffles City Menu

Aqua Pazza ($39)

The menu goes beyond pastries, offering appetisers, mains, and drinks. There are items like Tiger Prawn Capellini ($29), Scallop Crudo ($24), and pastries like the Acorn ($14).

For the mains, we tried the Aqua Pazza ($39), a seafood dish that stood out for its bold, comforting flavours.

Other sides and mains include Prawn Toast ($22), Grilled Chicken ($48), Beef Tongue Skewers ($22) and more.

Wagyu Beef Tartare ($26)

Of the sides we tried, our favourite was the Wagyu Beef Tartare ($26), which was light and refreshing – a great way to start the meal.

Grilled Chicken ($48)

We also got to try the Grilled Chicken ($48), which was very tender, but a little bit on the dry side.

Matcha Cream Latte ($8)

Another highlight was the drinks – we got the Orange Americano ($8) and Matcha Cream Latte ($8). We were pleasantly surprised by how pretty they looked and how delicious they tasted.

Orange Americano ($8)

The Orange Americano combined orange jam, house cold brew, and their signature cream for a zesty yet smooth sip, while the Matcha Cream Latte featured yuri matcha, matcha sauce, milk, and the same signature cream for a rich matcha taste.

Fine Crumbs Menu

Apart from the dining area, the space includes an open pastry display showcasing the Fine Crumbs selection. With over 25 flavours launching soon, prices range from $3.40 to $7.70.

All buns are made with premium Japanese flour using a traditional Japanese method, and undergo a 12-hour natural fermentation for better flavour and texture.

To kick off their official debut, Fine Crumbs launched seven signature gourmet buns. We tried six – both sweet and savoury. Here are our thoughts:

Savoury Buns

Mentaiko Prawn Bun ($5.20)

We started with the Mentaiko Prawn Bun ($5.20), featuring tiger prawns, Japanese mentaiko mayo, and crunchy purple cabbage in a charcoal oat bun.

We enjoyed the freshness of the prawn and the texture from the mentaiko!

Angus Short-Ribs Bun ($7.70)

Next up is the Angus Short-Ribs Bun ($7.70), featuring 12-hour slow-braised Angus beef short ribs in a matcha bun, paired with pickled Japanese cucumber.

The beef was super tender and flavourful, balanced nicely by the tangy crunch of the pickles.

Egg Mania Bun ($3.80)

For something more affordable, the Egg Mania Bun ($3.80) features creamy egg mayo, sweet caramelised onions, and a marinated soy egg in a dark rye multigrain bun.

It’s full of texture and the eggs were tasty as well! This bun was simple, satisfying, and definitely worth the money.

Sweet Buns

Matcha Nama Bun ($6.50)

The Matcha Nama Bun ($6.50) features a matcha bun filled with rich nama matcha chocolate and mascarpone matcha cream, finished with a dusting of matcha powder.

The nama matcha chocolate was decadently smooth, delivering an intense matcha hit in every bite. A must-try if you love matcha!

Next is the Black Sesame Peanut Mochi Bun ($4.80), filled with chewy glutinous rice balls and crushed peanut pancake, filled with rich black sesame paste. A satisfying mix of textures and nuttiness.

Pistachio Cream Bun ($6.80)

The Pistachio Cream Bun ($6.80) features a classic bun filled with pistachio praline and cream, topped off with pistachio crumbs.
