Good news for those working around Guoco Midtown! Elephant Grounds, a popular coffee chain from Hong Kong, opens in Singapore at Guoco Midtown.
Here, you can find their familiar bakes and house-roasted coffee beans.
The Space

The store is hard to miss, with bright orange chairs lining the outdoor seating area.
The space features ceiling-high glass walls, allowing natural light to shine through for a casual and cosy place.
As you step inside, you’ll be welcomed by the strong aroma of coffee and bakes!
Do note that the temperature inside is intentionally set to be extra cold to combat the heat from the ovens.
Elephant Grounds Singapore Menu
The menu at the Singapore outlet is a condensed version of the menu back in Hong Kong, with highlights like the Breakfast Sandwich ($20) and Smoked Salmon Benedict ($20), alongside their bakes!
A Singapore-exclusive dish is the Chicken Parm ($20), which features chicken fillet and pepperoni on a baguette with marinara sauce and jalapeno.
The drinks menu is pretty interesting, with options like Americano Air ($6.5) and Black Tie ($8).
Something you can’t miss out on while you’re there is their house-roasted coffee beans. For coffee lovers, consider grabbing a pack to recreate the experience at home!
They also have fresh granola available, and we think it’d go great with a bowl of yoghurt.
Savoury Dishes
The Fish Fillet Sando ($22) came nicely toasted with a side of fries.
The light mayo-based sauce and the coleslaw paired well with the fried fish fillet and overall was an enjoyable dish.
The portion was also pretty big, making it good for sharing.
Sweet Items
For bakes, we had the Earl Grey Stuffed Donut ($5) and Banoffee Croissant ($6). Out of the two, we recommend the Earl Grey doughnut.
The banoffee croissant was slightly dry and could do with a stronger banoffee flavour.
On the other hand, the Earl Grey croissant was fluffy and creamy with a nice, strong Earl Grey flavour. We loved how generous they were with the filling!
We also had the Churros ($8) with caramel sauce. It’s slightly different from the usual churros we’re used to but was still really yummy!
The churro sticks were thick and had a soft custard-like center. It’s not undercooked and meant to be enjoyed this way for a different texture.
It paired well with the caramel sauce which was more bittersweet and not too cloying.
Drinks
For drinks, we had the signature Bulletproof Coffee ($8.5) and Matcha Latte ($7.5).
Bulletproof coffee is a coffee with coconut oil and butter, but don’t worry! It isn’t greasy at all, and actually paired well with the acidic coffee notes.
It has a unique and acquired taste that might not be everyone’s cup of tea (or coffee)!
However, we would give the matcha latte here a miss as it was grainy and lacked a prominent matcha taste.
Cafe At Guoco Midtown
