Appetisers
La Bruschetta
The La Bruschetta ($21) bread was toasted to a satisfying crunch on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. It was topped with juicy and slightly tangy tomatoes and a generous amount of savoury pecorino cheese, making it an appetising start to our meal.
Wagyu Beef Carpaccio
Wagyu Beef Carpaccio ($28) is a must-try for meat lovers! This dish featured thin slices of melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu beef topped with fresh arugula for an enjoyable textural contrast. The house-made truffle parmesan sauce added a flavorful depth with the familiar richness of the truffle.
Seafood Cioppino
The Seafood Cioppino ($28) was a hearty and satisfying dish. It came with fresh clams, plump shrimp, and tender calamari, covered in a rich, tomato-based seafood broth. The broth had a hint of tanginess that cut through the richness.
Pasta
Tagliolini Gamberi & Lemon
The Tagliolini Gamberi & Lemon ($38) was a refreshing dish, thanks to the zestiness from lemons which are imported directly from Italy.
The pasta was coated thoroughly with the sauce but still held its chew with a side of plump, firm-textured shrimp, creating a well-balanced and satisfying dish.
Gnocchi Funghi & Salsiccia
The Gnocchi Funghi & Salsiccia ($28) featured house made gnocchi which provided a satisfying base for the flavorful sauce.
The rich, savoury sauce had bits of salty pork sausage, which went well with the chewy and pillowy gnocchi.
Pizza
Bella Duomo
The Bella Duomo ($36) had a thin and slightly charred crispy base from the oven, which held up the many toppings. It was topped with savoury mortadella and crunchy pistachios, a classic combination with an added texture.
The creamy Sicily and stracciatella cheeses complete it with their mild flavour, making for a well-balanced pizza.
Mains
Polipo Approsto
The Polipo Arrosto (Grilled Octopus, $38) arrived nicely charred! The meat was firm but not chewy, complementing the smokiness from the charcoal grill. The diced tomatoes added a burst of tangy freshness, balancing the richness of the octopus.
Nodino Di Maiaele
The Nodino Di Maiaele (Pork Chop, $38) had a flavorful marinade. The meat had a good bite, although we think it could be juicier. The house-made apple mustard sauce elevated the dish with a sweetness from the apple and a slight tang, which complemented the meaty pork chop!
Dessert
Duomo Tiramisu
The Duomo Tiramisu ($16) was the perfect, light ending to our meal. It wasn’t overly heavy but packed a punch from the coffee. This was balanced with the creamy mascarpone cheese and bitterness from the dusting of cocoa powder.
Pannacota alla vaniglia
The Panna Cotta alla Vanglia ($16) caught our eye with its unique texture. It had a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture! The combination of cream and strawberry reminded us of sweet and tangy strawberry yogurt, making it a refreshing way to end the meal.
