Daily Beer caught our attention when we spotted its storefront under construction a few months ago, and we were excited to finally visit! This is the first overseas outpost of the popular Korean chimaek (chicken and beer) chain restaurant in Telok Ayer with its menu of specialty beers on tap.
Retro & Vibey Interior
The restaurant has a unique retro diner-style aesthetic, with large windows, old-school seating and neon signs. There’s even a disco ball which adds to the vibes.
Daily Beer Menu
They offer seven variations of craft beer, ranging from the K-Festbier ($14 for 420ml), German-style beer, to Busan Hazelnut Porter ($15 for 420ml)! They even have Telok Ayer-exclusive flavours: Telok Hazy IPA ($15) and Telok Pale Ale ($14).
If you’re indecisive, you can get the Beer Flight ($35) with five 200ml samplers. Non-alcoholic drinks include the Wake-Up Ade ($5) with a blend of 12 Korean herbal remedies and the Green Plum Ade ($4).
The food menu is just as varied with fried chicken and anju – dishes meant to pair with drinks! Fried chicken flavours include the original Angry Bird (from $27.90), Angry Bird Black (from $29.90) and Angry Bird Kimchi (from $29.90). You can also opt for Half-Half ($32.80) for all the flavours.
There’s also Daily Budae Tteokbokki ($30), Spam Fries ($16) and even Cajun Chicken Salad ($26), all designed to go with beer.
Beer Flight
The Beer Flight ($35) featured five of their classic offerings: K-Ginseng Lager, Seoul Weizen, Telok Pale Ale, Telok Hazy IPA and Busan Hazelnut Porter.
To be honest, we found the beer on the flat side. It would have tasted more satisfying if it were more carbonated! We did like the flavour profiles, especially the IPA and Seoul Weizen, which were light with a pleasant aftertaste.
Fried Chicken
We tried a Half-Half of their Angry Bird and Angry Bird Red ($32.80). The visuals were enough to whet our appetite!
The chicken was well-executed with a crunchy coating and juicy meat, classic Korean fried chicken style. Compared to other fried chicken joints, the batter is thicker but well-seasoned. The original flavour is slightly spicy but quite addictive!
We enjoyed the richness of the yangnyeom sauce on the Red version. It was sweet, savoury and then the spice kicked in at the end. Fair warning that this one is quite spicy! Despite the heat, we liked how it was balanced by the sweetness.
Spicy Noodles with Sea Whelk
We were surprised to see Spicy Noodles with Sea Whelk ($25) on the menu! It’s not commonly found in Singapore but is a popular dish in Korea.
The noodles were chewy and well-coated in the sauce, though the sea whelk was a bit tough. However, the flavour of the sauce was not striking to us and so it was not memorable.
Grilled Dried Pollack
A must-order for drinks is Grilled Dried Pollack ($28). It’s best enjoyed with the sauce on the side. This was salty, crunchy and chewy, made even better by the tangy and creamy dipping sauce. We highly recommend this!
Korean Fried Chicken In Telok Ayer
Overall, Daily Beer provided a satisfying Chimaek experience with a comfortable and vibey interior. The chicken is simple but well-executed and is enough to satisfy any cravings! Perfect for a Friday night gathering.

@middleclass.sg Daily Beer is a popular brand from Korea! Maybe the beer would taste better if we had arrived later – but the fried chicken is solid 👍🏻 #sgfoodie #fypsg #sgtiktok #tiktoksg ♬ Impossible – RIIZE
