Connor’s Stout Porter has paired up with Chye Seng Huat Hardware for a limited-time menu that runs from 27 August to 1 November 2026! Instead of simply serving stout alongside food, the two have built three dishes and drinks that use Connor’s as an ingredient, from stout-infused caramelised onions to a stout-spiked affogato.
What Is the Connor’s x Chye Seng Huat Hardware Collaboration?
The collaboration brings together Connor’s Stout Porter and Chye Seng Huat Hardware, the café and coffee roastery on Tyrwhitt Road.
Head Chef Christina Ee developed three limited-time dishes and drinks that each use Connor’s differently rather than treating the beer as a side pour.
It’s a slightly unusual pairing on paper, but the contrast is the point: the collaboration is built around finding where Connor’s caramel, roasted and coffee-like notes naturally line up with what’s already on the café’s menu.
The Collaboration Menu: Food and Drinks

The Stout Stack ($30) is a wagyu beef burger topped with onions slow-caramelised in Connor’s Stout Porter, a sunny-side-up egg, tomato and lettuce, served with fries.
The stout-infused onions are cooked specifically to bring out their caramel malt character, which is meant to play off the richness of the wagyu patty.
The Connor’s Grill ($12) pairs smoky grilled chicken with a mayo made with Connor’s Stout Porter.
The stout’s roasted, slightly earthy bitterness is used to cut through the richness of the sauce and the richness of the meat.
The Connor’s Affogato ($9.20) reworks the café classic with fresh espresso, vanilla ice cream and Connor’s Stout Porter.
Since the stout and Chye Seng Huat Hardware’s house coffee blend share caramel and chocolate notes, the two are meant to blend together with the vanilla ice cream rounding things out.
Ambience at Chye Seng Huat Hardware
Chye Seng Huat Hardware operates out of a converted shophouse on Tyrwhitt Road that still nods to its former life as a hardware store, paired with an open coffee roastery visible from the dining area.
It’s one of the better-known names among cafés and restaurants in Farrer Park, drawing a steady mix of coffee regulars, brunch crowds and, now, stout drinkers.
For this collaboration, the café has added Union Jack-patterned backdrops and Connor’s branding across some tables, incorporating a nod to the collaboration without changing the core coffeehouse atmosphere.
