Azmaya: A4 Wagyu And Snow Crab Buffet At $68++ With Yakiniku & Shabu Shabu

If you’re a Japanese Wagyu and snow crab fan, be prepared to eat your fill – Azmaya is offering a free-flow buffet for beef and snow crab at only $68++! The Japanese restaurant offers quality, freshly sliced Japanese and Australian Wagyu alongside free-flow hot sides.

Wagyu & Snow Crab Buffet Menu

There are three tiers to the buffet: Set A ($38++) offers pork, chicken and seafood, Set B ($68++) includes the Wagyu beef, Snow crab and beef tongue and Set C ($98++) is upgraded with raw oysters and salmon roe.

We tried Set B and feel the selection is sufficient for the price! Every buffet includes both Yakiniku and shabu shabu with broth bases like tomato and tonkatsu.

The buffet lasts 90 minutes, during which you can order the beef cut to your choosing like cubes and chunks. The snow crab is served already cooked, which can be enjoyed on its own or warmed up in the broth.

It also includes a whole vegetable bar and a DIY sauce bar. Other sides include edamame, sashimi and Karaage ($11). You can top up $40++ for free-flow alcoholic beverages including beer, highballs or simple soft drinks like Oolong tea.

Wagyu Beef

Despite the free-flow beef, the quality of the meat did not disappoint. Every serving had a picturesque marbling and thinly sliced for quick cooking. Whether it was grilled or simmered in shabu shabu, each slice was fatty but clean with no gamey flavour.

We enjoyed the shabu shabu which was just the right balance of sweet and savoury. It flavoured the beef enough that it didn’t need any sauce; plus it made all the vegetables taste good!

The yakiniku was also a hit. We recommend letting the beef cook a little longer to get a nice char on the outside and pair it with their recommended sesame sauce mix.

Snow Crab

The snow crab was sweet and had a pleasant firm texture, which we feel makes it worth the repeat order. In our experience its better to consume it as is – it overcooks easily in the broth and becomes slightly shrivelled. For a buffet, we think the quality of crab is worth the price.

Pork, Seafood & Other Meats

We also got to try their pork platter, seafood platter and beef tongue. The beef tongue was memorable for us and great for yakiniku! It had a clean flavour and a great chewy texture.

The pork platter includes both pork belly and pork collar, without any porky smell.

Wagyu Buffet In Singapore

For the quality of beef and crab, we think Azmaya is offering a great selection for the price! The inclusion of both shabu shabu and yakiniku really maximises the eating experience – making for a good option for group gatherings.

The buffet is available at both their Robertson Quay and Cuppage Plaza outlets.
