Tim Ho Wan Has New Limited Time Menu Items Including Truffle Mushroom Buns And Sakura Ebi Chee Cheong Fun

Popular dim sum restaurant Tim Ho Wan has launched new delectable menu items!

The spread has four items: Japanese Sakura Ebi Shrimp & Scallion Rice Rolls, Crab Meat Fried Rice with Sakura Ebi Shrimp & Tobiko, Canadian Scallop & Shrimp Fried Pancake and Truffle Mushroom Buns with Abalone, Razor Clams & Chicken. 

Tim Ho Wan - Truffle Mushroom Buns

The star of the show was definitely the adorable Truffle Mushroom Buns with Abalone, Razor Clams & Chicken ($9.80)! Each bun was meticulously shaped and textured to replicate a Shiitake mushroom, including a cute edible stem. 

Aside from being very picturesque, the buns were also quite tasty! The filling features five types of mushrooms sauteed in a truffle paste. The savoury, fragrant filling went well with the soft buns. 

The Canadian Scallop & Shrimp Fried Pancake ($8.80) sandwiches a meaty filling of scallops and shrimp with crispy fried tofu skin. Crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, this went well with their tangy Wochestire dipping sauce.

In the Japanese Sakura Ebi Shrimp & Scallion Rice Rolls ($9.80), the ebi shrimp were layered between sheets of tender rice rolls with Tim Ho Wan’s savoury sauce. The shrimp were fried, adding a crunch and umami to the dish. 

The shrimp is featured again in the hearty Crab Meat Fried Rice with Sakura Ebi Shrimp & Tobiko  ($15.50), topped with generous lines of plump crab meat and crispy ebi shrimp. The fried rice was well-seasoned and had a strong wok hey flavour which paired well with the sweetness of the seafood. 

New Dim Sum Items To Try

Tim Ho Wan’s new selection is available to try at all outlets island-wide except NomStar and is only available for one month till early January 2023, so head down to try them soon!
