Located right outside Somerset MRT station is Ohayo Mama San, a stylish restaurant offering modern Japanese and Asian cuisine catered for everyone’s tastebuds. Ohayo Mama San is offering a delectable Christmas menu perfect for sharing!

Ohayo Mama San Christmas Menu

There are a total of four festive items, with two dishes and two holiday cocktails! The savoury dishes are the Holiday Platter ($28++) and Christmas Kyuden ($38++), boasting a variety of sushi and fried items.

The Christmas Kyuden is a sushi tower featuring a selection of riceless lobster salmon rolls, aburi wagyu salsa sushi and aburi spicy salmon sushi. And yes, you read that right – the rolls do not come with rice and are instead filled with only with lobster and salmon. The tower tastes as good as it looks and is super photo-worthy, so don’t forget to snap some pictures!

The Holiday Platter combines four different fried treats that are good for sharing: salt and pepper calamari, mala karaage, salted egg salmon skin and most uniquely, fried soft-shell prawns. Everything was well-seasoned and would make a great pairing with their selection of alcohol.

Soft-shelled prawns are not a common sight in other Japanese restaurants, and Ohayo Mama San’s iteration of it was crispy and full of umami. It paired well with their spicy mayo sauce!

Those who want to enjoy a high tea can consider the White Christmas High Tea Set ($38++). The set features the Red Christmas Tea from TWG paired with sweet and savoury treats like Mini Wagyu Slides and éclairs.

Festive Cocktails With Sui Gin

Ohayo Mama San has also rolled out two festive cocktails with Sui Gin. The Winter Sangria ($20++) mixes white wine and a medley of cut fruits, making for a pleasantly sweet taste that compliments the gin. The cocktail also includes edible glitter and provides a beautiful shimmer to the drink when mixed.

The Snowy Sui Calpis ($20++) features Calpis, a popular Japanese yoghurt drink with roasted marshmallows and a red sugar rim. Served in style with flashing Christmas lights, this drink was creamy and perfect for the holidays!

Aside from their festive menu, they offer a selection of regular dishes that you can try anytime. The Around The World Seafood Tower ($98++) feeds 2 to 4 people and comes loaded with fresh sashimi like salmon belly, tuna, scallops, oysters and sweet shrimp! You can also try their sushi options, including the Fireball ($24++), a deep-fried sushi roll with a spicy creamy dipping sauce.
