Are you a fan of the famous Thai instant noodles brand, MAMA? In an exciting collaboration, MAMA Instant Noodles is transforming HUE’s space at Jalan Besar into an instant noodle paradise, from now until January 14th 2024.
MAMA x HUE Menu
The collaboration features a menu with 7 dishes, using the original MAMA noodles along with the OK Oriental Kitchen series’ noodles. This includes two side dishes and five main courses, like the MAMA Dried Suki ($15), a dish crafted with house-made Thai-style suki sauce.
Sides
Start your meal with the MAMA Lup Cheong ($15), a cold noodle dish mixed in a tangy, spicy sauce with a hint of sweetness, served with Lup Cheong.
If you prefer a meat-focused dish, the MAMA Meatball Larb ($13) is a great choice. This dish features minced pork and pork balls, enhanced by the refreshing flavours of Thai herbs like cilantro and mint.
Mains
We tried the MAMA TomYum ($22), a must-try signature dish. The broth was delightfully spicy, loaded with ingredients like tiger prawns and pork belly.
Our top pick for the evening was the MAMA Soft Shell Prawn Truffle ($18). This dish stood out with its distinct truffle flavour and tobiko, adding a delightful pop to the mouth! Accompanying it were deep-fried soft-shell prawns, tossed in a flavorful Thai bomba seasoning.
For those who love spice, the MAMA Crispy Pork Basil ($18) is ideal. Stir-fried with red chilli for a spicy kick, it features crispy pork belly and pork lard, offering a satisfying crunch!
Another notable dish we tried was the MAMA Beef ($22), featuring HUE’s signature bullseye cuts, which were tender and expertly chargrilled. The broth here was a standout, distinguished by its unique herbal taste!
