Scallops Galore: Enjoy Seasonal Spring Scallop Menu Items From Kuriya Japanese Market

Usher in the springtime with seasonal Japanese produce, most notably their scallops! Kuriya Japanese Market has launched their limited-time Hokkaido scallop menu with new dishes to try. 

Their sister brands Ichiban Bento and Ichiban Boshi have also rolled out their spring offerings you can enjoy.

The offerings begin with the Aburi Cheese Jumbo Hotate ($8.80) which features sizable marinated scallops topped with melted cheese. For a spicy kick, you can opt for the Spicy Hotate Maru ($7.80).


The Duo Hotate Mix ($13.80) has scallop nigiri and a scallop mentaiko aburi maki roll for a two-in-one hotate feast!

Those who prefer rice bowls can opt for the Teriyaki Hotate Don ($11.80) topped with scallops, cucumber and tamago. 

You can even get some sweet treats like the Monteur Pistachio Sandwich ($2.90) and Monteur Pistachio & Chocolate Terrine ($9.50).

Kuriya Japanese Market is offering a promotion where you can enjoy Tokushima sake (Yuzu Hime or Yamamomo Hime) at only $6.90 each with any purchase of the hotate sushi creation!

For a heartier meal, you can try Ichiban Bento’s spring bentos. 


The Chicken Steak with Wafu Black Pepper Sauce ($15.90) comes with a tender chicken thigh in a punchy, peppery sauce served alongside rice and side dishes. 


There’s also the Salmon Belly Katsu ($18.90) that you can enjoy with Mayonnaise or a numbing Mala Sauce! 

If you’re ordering online, you can opt for combo or buddy meals that come with chawanmushi and miso soup. 

The  Tokushima sake promotion is also applicable to Ichiban Bento outlets located within Kuriya Japanese Market.

The menu at Ichiban Boshi focuses on fresh seafood served in different ways.

There’s the Tai & Hamuguri Nabe ($18.90) featuring a single-serve hotpot teeming with fish and clams, and the 3 Kinds Sakura Sushi ($10.90) served nigiri-style. 

There are also Spring themed desserts like the Sakura Mochi ($7.90) and Ichigo Mille-Feuille Cake ($7.90).
