Embracing this year’s theme of Cyclical Nature and the colour green, the focus is on promoting sustainability and closing the gap in the sustainable cycle.

Marina Bay Installations

i Light Singapore- Iwagumi Air Scape

The Iwagumi Air Scape, created by Australian artists ENESS, captivated us with its colour shifts in response to the movement of people nearby. Every transition created a different experience, keeping it exciting!

In collaboration with Awakening Bangkok from Thailand, BOB the nice world was charming. The installation used projected animations to convey a message on the urgency of addressing climate change.

We found it cool how this artwork incorporated a crucial global issue seamlessly with a deceivingly simple front!

Arc Zero: Nimbus, created by Studio James Tapscott, was mesmerising. Located right along the water, it felt like a portal transporting you to another realm, framing the skyscrapers in the distance.

The added mist heightened the mystical ambience. It was a good photo spot, offering the perfect opportunity to capture a cool and unique picture!

Tanjong Pagar Installations

We had an absolute blast playing the interactive Kickit Team Tennis by the Limelight from Hungary! Forming teams of five on each end, you can engage in friendly competition with strangers.

This game test our chemistry and teamwork to the test, which made it quite fun!

A field of flowers might seem pretty common, but a field of plastic blossoms? Now that’s something we don’t see every day!

The BottleBlooms art installation by Singaporean artist Yun is created entirely from recycled plastic bottles collected through a public collection drive in Singapore. Plus, it’s powered by solar energy! We felt this sustainability angle made it extra special.

Hidden Garden seamlessly merged manmade elements with nature, using inflatable flower installations on trees! This one-of-a-kind integration enhanced the surrounding natural environment and added a vibrant pop of colour to the otherwise plain-looking walkway.

It added a simple but magical touch to our walk!

GastroBeats 2024: A Sustainable Celebration of Food and Music

As usual, GastroBeats 2024 offers an exciting fusion of food and music! With over 200 stalls, you can enjoy a wide range of local and international dishes, including Chili Crab Praffles, Mexican Tacos, and Wagyu Beef Bowls.

This year, there is a stronger focus on sustainability, with more sustainably produced food options available.

Like i Light Singapore 2024, GastroBeats will be open to the public from May 31st to June 23rd, 2024.
