If you watch Culinary Class Wars, you’ll know the enigmatic White Spoon Chef Choi Hyun Seok for his fine dining background and pizzazz. You can now sample his cooking with a special collaboration menu at Bulgogi Syo, where he’s presenting a curated selection of dishes!
The menu will be available from 27 September 2025 across all Bulgogi Syo outlets islandwide.
Bulgogi Syo x Choi Hyun Seok Menu
There are four dishes available, each inspired by Chef Choi’s expertise.
The Fresh Omugi Beef Yukhoe Sotbap ($25.90) features Omugi beef tartare with a savoury seasoning.
Omugi beef is a special breed that’s only been fed barley for a richer flavour.
It’s served lightly torched for an added toasty flavour. This was tasty! The tender beef, with a slight umami flavour, and crispy rice bits made for a hearty bite.
Something to look forward to is Jang Trio with Omugi Beef Tenderloin ($39.90), a take on the dish he made in Culinary Class Wars!
This version features a deonjang sauce, gochujang dipping sauce and soy sauce seasoning.
The beef is served medium rare by default, giving a juicy and tender bite to complement the salty rich sauces.
The Maeun Dwaeji Galbi Jjim with Triple-Cheese Risotto or Spicy Pork Stew ($25.90) has two parts: a torched triple cheese risotto and slow-stewed US pork shoulder.
This was super cheesy and the spicy stew cut through with the richness.
There’s a member exclusive item, the Vongole Sujebi ($21.90).
A Western spin on the Korean hand-torn noodles, this version features clams in a buttery garlic sauce.
This was 100% worth the membership! Chewy noodles coated in a thick, savoury gravy that was surprisingly moreish.
