Black Marble Brings Premium USA Cheeses And Calrose Rice For A Limited Time

From 1st – 31st November, there will be a specially curated menu offered at Black Marble as part of their collaboration with the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC). This collaboration showcases the exquisite flavours of premium USA cheeses and rice!

Chic, Modern Interior

Black Marble has a sleek black interior, complemented by striking brick statement walls that infuse the space with a vibrant splash of colour. 

The restaurant is also adorned with full-length windows, allowing an abundance of sunlight to flood in!

Black Marble brings forth a menu of 6 curated dishes that incorporate the flavours of cheese and U.S Calrose rice. 

Deep Fried Cheese Sticks with Truffle Mayo

These Deep Fried Cheese Sticks are perfect for sharing, though you might not want to! They are filled with Sierra Nevada Organic Baby Bella Mushroom Jack Cheese, which bursts with a creamy and comforting taste.  

The accompanying side of Truffle Mayo added a nice flavour, but the truffle essence could be stronger. 

Mac & Cheese Pasta

As an ultimate comfort food, the Mac & Cheese Pasta is made with Sierra Nevada Organic Smokehouse Jack cheese. It even came with a generous amount of mushrooms!

Artisan U.S Cheese Platter served with Dried Fruit, Pickle & Baguette

The Cheese Platter features a variety of cheeses – Sartori Merlot BellaVitano, Sierra Nevada Organic Garlic & Herb Jack, Sierra Nevada Organic Smokehouse Jack, and Sierra Nevada Organic Jalapeno Jack, for a selection of different textures and flavours. 

The baguette serves as a companion to the cheeses, but we felt that it lacked a satisfying crunch. However, the dried fruits added a sweet, chewy contrast to the savoury richness of the cheese! There are also pickles to refresh your taste buds between bites. 

Grilled U.S Calrose Rice with Teriyaki Sauce and Hokkaido Scallops

The U.S Calrose Rice was grilled to introduce a subtle smokey essence and crispiness. The teriyaki sauce drizzled over the rice, which added a sweet and savoury glaze that enhanced the dish’s overall taste profile. 

The scallops also added a nice burst of seafood flavour to the plate! 

Deep Fried U.S Calrose Rice Balls with Furikake, Cheese and Yuzu Mayo Dip

The U.S Calrose Rice Balls in this dish had a crispy exterior. We liked the tang from the side of yuzu mayo, which complemented the savoury fried balls. We felt that it could do with more seasoning and a softer rice texture though. 

Fried U.S Calrose Rice With Tiger Prawns, Egg & Spring Onion

The Fried U.S Calrose Rice was light, with each grain perfectly coated with oil. It was also served with plump and succulent tiger prawns,  which added a luxurious touch to the dish. We think the seasonings could be stronger to emphasize all the flavours!

Black Marble’s Limited-Time Edition Menu

In collaboration with the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC), you are promised a farm-to-table dining experience at Black Marble! We enjoyed the interesting preparations but think the seasonings could be stronger for a better experience.
