Andaz Singapore Hosts Austrian Gourmet Week With Special Six Course Menu: Smoked Eel, Oven-Baked Apple And More

Expand your culinary palette and try Austrian cuisine at Andaz Singapore with their limited-time Austrian Gourmet Week! From 29th October to 2nd November 2022, enjoy a six-course meal by Chef Armin Leitgeb, having helmed Michelin-starred restaurants across the globe such as Restaurant Tantris in Munich, Paul and Marc Haeberlin at the Auberge de L’ill in Alsace and The French Laundry by Thomas Keller in California and Chef Josef Mühlmann of 17-point Gault&Millau that pays tribute to their Alpine routes. 

Both chefs are part of Koch Campus, a not-for-profit association that hopes to bring stellar contemporary Austrian cuisine through a partnership with domestic primary food producers and restaurants. 

A Stylish Interior At 665°F Andaz Singapore

Diners will be able to enjoy the meal at the lavish 665°F steakhouse in Andaz Singapore, furnished with golden, wood, and turquoise walls that overlooks a picturesque view of the city skyline from the top.

665°F also houses a wine cellar with a generous selection of wines for your choosing. The Austrian Gourmet Week menu can include an add-on to a number of carefully curated Austrian wines like Pittnauer and family-owned Tement, biodynamic and organic wines. 

An Authentic Look At Austrian Cuisine

The Austrian Gourmet Week is in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy Singapore and Austrian National Tourist Office to showcase the best of Austria and what it has to offer, while also aiding the nation’s economic recovery after COVID-19. The experience is priced at $160 per guest from 6pm to 10.30pm, with the wine pairing available at an additional $115 per person.

The six-course menu will utilize premium ingredients imported directly from Austria. The course starts with a trio of bites: Backhend’l (fried chicken) with cucumber salad and pumpkin seed oil; Speck with apricot mustard; and Marinated Forest Mushrooms with warm potato foam and herbs.

The mains are uniquely Austrian, featuring Chef Armin’s iconic Lightly Smoked EelTiede” with crispy pork crouton, mustard, and horseradish and a Confit River Trout with triple-boiled chicken broth, lemon mash, and herb oil. This is followed by Tyrolean-style Rye Ravioli, finished with white cheese, brown butter, and chives. There’s also the Farmers Bread Wrapped Crispy Egg and Braised Lamb Leg. The meal ends with a sweet Oven-Baked Apple, served with caramel and cranberry ice cream.
