Yakiniku-GO Now Offers Japanese And Spanish Pork Cuts (And Secret Code For Free Meat)

Japanese fast-casual grill spot Yakiniku-GO has unveiled its new Pork Selections menu, now available at all outlets island-wide! The menu features high quality pork, specifically the Miyazaki and Duroc breeds which you can try in the Miyazaki Tokujo Pork Set and Pork Sanshu Mori Set.

Quality Japanese Pork Yakiniku

The Miyazaki pork is famed for its clean and sweet flavour, and Yakiniku-GO sources theirs from the Kyodo Farm in Miyazaki, Japan. This breed is fed whole corn kernels which helps achieve a sweet, tender and flavourful meat.

You can try the best of Miyazaki pork in the Miyazaki Tokujo Pork Set ($28.80++ for 180g), which comes with Miyazaki Buta Bara (pork belly), Miyazaki Buta Kata Rosu (pork collar) and Miyazaki Buta Rosu Steak (pork loin steak). Like all Yakiniku-GO sets, the meal comes with a bowl of Japanese rice, seaweed soup and a side of kimchi or side salad! Each cut is also available a la carte starting at $15.80

The Miyazaki cuts all had a clean but sweet flavour, even with minimal seasoning! The Miyazaki pork loin steak was the most memorable, and the thicker cut of meat is reminiscent of a Korean samgyeopsal experience with a beautiful marbling and juicy bite. The Miyazaki pork belly and Miyazaki pork collar both had a crispy and had an enjoyable flavour. Despite how fatty the cuts were, the meat did not have the unpleasant porky smell and tasted even better with the caramelisation from the smokeless grill.

The Duroc breed on the other hand hails from Spain, featuring a cross between the White and Iberian beed. It boasts a higher marbling and fat count that contributes to a more intense flavour. The Pork Sanshu Mori Set ($16.80++, 150g) showcases this with a Duroc Karubi (pork belly), Duroc Kata Rosu (pork collar) and a side of Tontoro (pork jowl).

The meats come with a layer of a soy marinade that added a nice sweetness to the meat when cooked. Unlike the Miyazaki cuts, the Duroc had a more intense pork flavour and is a good cut for those who prefer a deeper taste! It paired well with the white rice and kimchi for a hearty bite.
