Starters

VENUE by Sebastian - Cauliflower Salad

The appetisers are perfect for sharing, with several being recent additions by Chef Sebastian!

One of the newest introductions was the Farro, Mushrooms, Konbu Butter, Poached Egg, and Parmigiano Reggiano ($26), which is vegetarian-friendly. The farro had a pleasingly chewy texture that was quite addictive!

It was complemented by a creamy sauce made from konbu and truffle oil, offering a unique flavour that’s rich yet not jelak.

The Crispy Potato, Poached Egg, Chorizo and Sautéed Mushroom ($9) was another new addition, featuring deep-fried, paper-thin potato strips alongside a runny egg yolk that coated everything when mixed.

The dish was further enhanced with savoury sautéed mushrooms and chorizo.

Mains

From their mains, the Iberico Pork Collar, Kebab Spice, Parsley & Shallot Salad, and Mint Yoghurt ($38) stand out as a must-try.

The pork was marinated for 12 hours in a kebab spice blend, giving it a satay-like flavour. It was also quite good with the mint yoghurt sauce which gave a refreshing twist!

Another dish that left an impression was the Chilean Seabass, Mushroom-Bacon Ragout, and Truffle Yuzu Butter Sauce ($42). The fish had a buttery, flaky texture and practically fell apart at the fork.  We also liked how the creamy sauce complemented the fish, and the mushrooms added an enjoyable umami.

Dessert

There is an extensive selection of desserts for your choosing.

The Pear Tart Crumble, Baileys Ice Cream ($15) was definitely one of our favourites! The sweetness of the caramelised pears, flaky pastry and crunchy topping was chef’s kiss for us. We also liked the accompanying scoop of Bailey’s ice cream, which complemented the tart.

For those who enjoy a mix of sweet and tangy flavours, opt for the Classic Peach Melba with Fresh Raspberry Sauce, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Chantilly Cream ($15). It featured their housemade vanilla ice cream with a unique stretchy consistency and a tart raspberry sauce. Despite this, the entire dessert wasn’t too sweet and we could finish it comfortably!

The Pistachio Financier, Grand Marnier Ice Cream, and Raspberry Yoghurt ($15) were another highlight! It featured a sizeable pistachio ‘financier’ that was moist and not overly sweet, much to our liking. The addition of raspberry yoghurt on top introduced a mild tartness to the dessert!
