The Pasta Project Menu
The Pasta Project offers both the build-your-own pasta option and a selection of attractive Chef Creations and House Signature flavours.
Your Pasta Project
With Your Pasta Project, you can get creative and customise your own pasta from $5.90! Choose from three sauce bases – mushroom, tomato or aglio olio – and proceed to customise your toppings.
They offer a variety of meats including chicken, beef and tiger prawns to bulk up your pasta. The vegetable options include mushrooms, capsicums and even rocket leaves! Finish your pasta with the options of fish roe, grated parmesan, basil pesto and more.
All their pastas come well-packaged in a bright yellow takeaway box for easy consumption.
Chef Creations & House Signatures
The Pasta Project also has a lineup of ready-to-order pasta flavours, featuring original family recipes from the chefs and unique fusions. The options include:
- Easy Penne Arriabata ($9.90)
- Fey’s Beef Bolognese ($12.40)
- Old Sichuan Mala Chicken Pasta ($16.20)
- Garlicky Asian Seafood Linguine ($16.20)
The menu even includes side salads like the Garden Salad ($6.30) and Rocket Salad with Honey Balsamic Dressing ($7.50). We got to try three of their flavours: The Ultimate Carbonara, Crunchy Tiger Prawns Aglio Olio and Fiery Pork Sausage Pasta.
The Ultimate Carbonara
Topped with a runny onsen egg, The Ultimate Carbonara ($12.40) came with bits of salty pancetta and a generous topping of parmesan cheese. It’s rare to find takeaway pasta eateries that include real pancetta, which definitely was the star of the dish. It provided a salty and smoky flavour to the creamy carbonara sauce!
Crunchy Tiger Prawns Aglio Olio
The Crunchy Tiger Prawns Aglio Olio ($12.40) came garnished with three large Tiger prawns and black tobiko eggs. There was a strong but satisfying flavour of garlic, which paired well with the snap and umami from the prawns.
Fiery Pork Sausage Pasta
One of the House Signature flavours, the Fiery Pork Sausage Pasta ($16.20) is designed to satisfy meat lovers. The dish features beef meatballs, pancetta, and n’duja sausage (a spreadable Italian sausage) in a spicy sauce with fresh mozzarella. The sauce had a slight kick to cut through the meats and the mozzarella added a pleasant creaminess!
Garden Salad
The Garden Salad ($6.30) was a basic but classic side dish, with refreshing cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. It was a perfect palette cleanser between bites of hearty pasta, especially with the tangy balsamic vinegar and olive oil vinaigrette.
The Pasta Project X Stacked
They have also collaborated with Stacked for the special ‘The Pasta Project x Stacked’ menu! The lineup features gourmet sandwiches with hand-kneaded bread baked fresh daily.
Choose from options like Mighty Mala ($13), Cheeky Katsu ($14), Bitchy Bacon ($14) and Sassy Seafood ($13), all hearty and satisfying sandwiches with your pasta.
