Taste Ipoh Menu

Taste Ipoh Food

The menu focuses on classic Ipoh dishes with authentic Ipoh flavours, like Taste Ipoh Shredded Chicken Horfun in a soup and dry version, Crispy Seaweed Popiah ($5.9), and even Traditional Kaya Toast to go with their Ipoh White Coffee ($3).

Noodles & Rice

The highlight of the meal for us was definitely the Taste Ipoh Shredded Chicken Horfun (Soup) ($12.9).

The soup was light yet super flavourful, and we couldn’t get enough. It paired well with the soft horfun noodles and chicken!

We also really appreciated that the prawns came peeled. Not having to peel prawns made it extra tasty!

The Ipoh Supreme Soft-Shell Crab & Prawn Bee Hoon Mee ($16.9) was significantly heavier, with a rich curry broth that wasn’t too spicy.

This dish had a nice mix of textures and flavours from the taupok and long beans toppings, and a whole soft-shell crab on the side.

The soft-shell crab was really enjoyable because it maintained its crisp exterior despite being left out for a while!

The Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Berempah ($13.9) is a great value-for-money choice, with its generous portion size.

The chicken was tender and flavourful, and we enjoyed pairing it with the sambal, though it did lean on the saltier side.

The Fragrant Spicy Dry Curry Chicken (Varuval) Bee Hoon Mee ($9.9) came with a big  serving of chicken and noodles, and a bowl of soup.

It was a little dry and had a more noticeable yellow noodle taste, so we do wish more curry sauce was given!

Popiah

L to R: Signature Golden Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Seaweed Popiah, Ipoh Traditional Crispy Popiah

The star of the show was definitely the Ipoh Traditional Crispy Popiah ($4.9).

It was packed with filling and flavour, and we loved that every bite had a generous amount of crunchy bits!

The Signature Golden Crispy Soft-Shell Crab Seaweed Popiah ($9.9) was also a stand-out for us.

It was our first time trying popiah with seaweed and a popiah with soft-shell crab filling! It was unique and leaned on the sweeter side because of the mayo, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Drinks

The drinks menu is extensive, with over 15 variations to choose from in both hot and cold options.

Highlights include the Ipoh White Coffee (Hot – $3, Cold – $3.7), Fragrant Coconut Coffee Latte (Cold – $4.9), and the Triple-Layer Signature Milk Tea ($3.9).

We had the Iced Ipoh White Coffee, which had just the right amount of sweetness that allowed the natural coffee notes to shine.

It was smooth and creamy, and went down easily with our other dishes.
