queic by Olivia at Jewel: Viral Oozy Cheesecake Now In Changi With Exclusive Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake

Internet-famous cheesecake brand queic by Olivia has a new outlet in Jewel Changi Airport! You’ve probably seen videos of their molten, oozy cheesecake floating around online, and you can now enjoy it before a flight.

The space is a kiosk with some seating, featuring the same bright yellow and brown palette. It’s a refreshing change from their spaces in Kreta Ayer and Scott’s Square!

You can look at their tantalising selection of cheesecakes at the display at the front.

The Jewel outlet has the same selection of signature and burnt cheesecakes in various flavours, but served in solo 4” portions! These are great for solo indulgence and are better suited for travel. 

The flavours include the now-famous Olivia’s Signature (from $16.40 for Slice/Solo) and Chocolate ($18.50/Solo). 

Something special is their new Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake ($24.50/4”), made with freshly ground pistachio paste and dark chocolate. It’s currently only available at Jewel but wil be rolled out to other outlets! 

There are unique options like the Idiazabal Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($12) featuring a smoked sheep’s cheese and Apple Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($14). 

The Cheesecake Board series ($16.40 each) features four cakes utilising classic charcuterie cheeses – Brie, Gruyere, Stilton and Valencay, a cheese covered in vegetal ash. 

They also rolled out a new savoury grilled cheese sandwich menu in 3 fillings: Olivia’s Signature ($11), Truffle & Pastrami ($14) and Tomato & Basil ($13) with housemade chilli crisp and sun-dried tomatoes.

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

We tried Olivia’s Signature and Truffle & Pastrami grilled cheese sandwiches. The visuals are impressive, with an overflowing amount of cheese in each sandwich! Every bite yielded a cheese pull. 

These were satisfying and addictive but balanced in flavour. Olivia’s Signature featured caramelised onions and mustard to cut through the cheese, while the Pastrami provided a hearty meatiness. 

They prepare everything in-house, including the sourdough bread and chilli crisp for their Tomato & Basil. 

Olivia’s Signature Cheesecake

For the uninitiated, Olivia’s Signature Cheesecake ($16.40) is their claim to fame. This cheesecake features a silky, molten cream cheese filling with blue cheese and an almond sable base. 

It might sound weird to use a funky cheese in a dessert but it works perfectly here! The subtle, pleasant saltiness complemented the sweet cream cheese so it’s not overbearing. 

The textures are also perfect, with a creamy centre and crunchy base that stays crunchy. 

Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake

Their newest addition is the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake ($24.50)! This flavour combination exploded in popularity on TikTok, and this is queic’s iteration of the popular dessert. 

It featured a layer of freshly ground 100% pistachio paste and 70% dark chocolate cheesecake filling on a chocolate almond sable base. 

This tasted as indulgent as it sounds. There was a nutty, authentic pistachio flavour with a crunch from the katafi contrasted by a slight bitterness from the chocolate. This is one of the best versions we’ve tasted!

However, it can be too much for one person and is best enjoyed with someone else (or not).

If you’re travelling through Singapore or craving cheesecake, queic by Olivia at Jewel is the perfect pitstop in the airport! Their expanded cheesecake menu and grilled cheese sandwiches make for a great in-flight snack or take-home indulgence.
