If you’re craving for some authentic Vietnamese food, check out Pho Vietz! They’re the newest addition to the F&B options at Bugis Junction and have a wide range of comforting dishes.

The interior features bright yellow and blue accents that make the environment feel more lively yet cosy.

The wooden furniture and the black and white street photos of Vietnam tie the place together, making it feel homely with a touch of nostalgia.

There is ample seating available, but do be prepared to wait during peak hours.

Pho Vietz Menu

The menu spotlights Southern Vietnamese dishes and regional specialties from Huế, the former imperial capital of Vietnam.

There’s a wide range of items, including comforting classics like Sliced Beef Noodle Soup (Pho) ($14.80) and Vietnamese Spring Rolls ($6.80). They also have rice-based options like Braised Pork Belly With Coconut Juice Rice Set ($18.5) and Sweet Potato Curry Chicken Rice Set ($16.5).

Mains

For mains, we had the 4 Beef Combo Noodle Soup ($17.8), which was a classic well done. It was a comforting dish that was especially enjoyable on a rainy day!

The beef slices were tender and tasted extra yummy with the sauces provided, and the beef balls had a nice bite to them!

We also had the Hue Style Spicy Pork-Rib Noodle Soup ($14.8), which had a nice flavour and wasn’t too spicy. It had a pretty addictive taste and we found ourselves going back for more.

We thoroughly enjoyed both dishes so picking a favourite would be tough!

The Grilled Marinated Pork Belly Rice ($14.8) looked unassuming, but we really liked it!.

Each bite was tender,  flavourful and we couldn’t get enough. It was well-marinated and well-grilled, and paired perfectly with the rice and crisp cracker!

L to R: Pho Vietz Dried Beef Noodle, Signature Vietnamese Baguette

It was our first time trying dry pho, but the Pho Vietz Dried Beef Noodle ($17.8) didn’t stand out to us in both presentation and taste. It was reminiscent of Chinese-style fried noodles.

We recommend getting their other dishes instead.

The Signature Vietnamese Baguette ($11.8) was really tasty with a good mix of textures and flavour.

We also find it more value-for-money as they’re pretty generous with the meat.

Sides

For sides, we had the Vietnamese Prawn Salad ($10.80), which was tangy and refreshing.

It cleansed our palates in between bites and helped us enjoy the other dishes more, so we definitely recommend getting this dish for sharing.

L to R: Steamed Flat Rice Roll With Mined Pork, Vietnamese Spring Roll

We also had the Steamed Flat Rice Roll With Mined Pork ($8.8) and Vietnamese Spring Roll ($6.8).

Both paired well with the dipping sauce, but the flat rice roll leaned toward the salty side.

We enjoyed the fried spring roll more in terms of flavour and because it had a nice crisp exterior.

Drinks

While we were there, we had to try their specialities – the Vietnamese Drip Coffee With Milk ($4.8), and the Ginger And Lemongrass Drink ($5.5).

It was a strong, concentrated coffee with a robust roast and slight bitter aftertaste.

If you prefer something refreshing, then the ginger and lemongrass is a good option!
