Peking Chamber (四季民福) is a Chinese restaurant from Beijing specialising in Peking Duck. It’s one of the most decorated Peking Duck restaurants in China, and the Singapore outlet at WEAVE, Resorts World Sentosa, brings the same duck-carving experience, menu, and design without the flight to Beijing.
What Is Peking Chamber?

Peking Chamber (四季民福) is a Chinese restaurant specialising in Peking Duck, the national dish of Beijing. The dish is defined by thin, crispy duck skin served with thin pancakes, scallions, and sweet sauce.
The restaurant has held a spot on Dianping’s Must-Eat List for nine consecutive years and counts celebrities like Mandopop artist Tiger Hu (胡彦斌) and (G)I-DLE’s Song Yuqi (宋雨琦) among its diners.
The WEAVE outlet in Singapore mirrors Peking Chamber’s China locations: deep red interiors, Chinese cultural design elements, and both semi-private booths and private rooms available for booking.
What Should You Order At Peking Chamber?
The must-orders at Peking Chamber are the Peking Roasted Tender Duck, Mixed Bean Sprouts with Sauce, and the Snack Platter (Beijing Style).
The wider menu extends beyond duck, with Beijing-style dishes like Selected Grilled Lamb with Scallion ($45) and Braised Sea Cucumber with Scallion ($68/portion).
Check out their full menu here.
The Signature Roasted Tender Duck
The signature dish is the Roasted Tender Duck ($68 for half, $118 for whole). It’s carved tableside and served with a platter of condiments and pancakes (priced separately at $3 per portion).
The duck had an evenly golden, crispy skin, carved skilfully by the chefs so the skin and meat are served and meant to be eaten separately.
Compared to the original Beijing restaurant, the Singapore outlet is close to identical, including the tableside carving.
The main difference is portion size: Singapore’s serving includes more duck meat, while the Beijing original leans more heavily on the skin.
The staff will demonstrate three ways to eat the duck:
1. Original flavours. Duck skin with white sugar, duck meat with mashed garlic paste.
The skin was crisp without being oily, and the meat was tender despite minimal seasoning, with the garlic adding a light punch of flavour.
2. The classic Beijing wrap. The traditional method: two to three pieces of duck meat and skin, pickled cabbage, scallion, and sweet sauce wrapped in a duck pancake using what is called the “baby folding method.”
The result was a balanced and satisfying bite, with the richness of the duck skin against the sweet sauce and vegetables.
3. The signature begonia plum wrap. Made with Peking Chamber’s begonia plum sauce, imported from Beijing, paired with honeydew and cucumber. This version is sweeter, fruitier, and lighter than the other two.
For whole-duck orders, the leftover bones can be prepared (additional $15). Choose from two iterations: Deep-Fried Duck Bones with Spiced Salt or Duck Bone Soup. The deep-fried version is worth ordering, crisp, addictive, and good for nibbling.
What Are The Best Appetisers At Peking Chamber?
Another must-order is their Mixed Bean Sprouts with Sauce ($19). Chopped into small pieces and tossed in a refreshing, tangy dressing, these bean sprouts were crunchy and appetising, elevated by the topping of crispy shredded potatoes.
The Deep-Fried Crispy Eggplant ($19) was another surprising dish.
The eggplant wedges were expertly prepared with a crisp exterior and almost melt-in-your-mouth centre, complemented by a sour-sweet sauce. Even our eggplant-hating editor went for seconds!
The Deep-Fried Shrimp with Honey Sauce ($39/portion) featured surprisingly large shrimp. It’s meant to be enjoyed with the shell-on for the most flavour.
Don’t let the shell deter you! It was crunchy, clean and paired well with the tender prawns, providing a sweet seafood flavour.
What Desserts Does Peking Chamber Serve?
The Snacks Platter (Beijing Style, $38) includes five traditional Chinese sweets:
- Pea Flour Cake (豌豆黄): A smooth, lightly sweet dessert made from yellow peas and sugar, historically a favourite of Dowager Cixi
- Aiwowo (艾窩窩): Glutinous rice balls stuffed with dried fruit and nuts
- Ludagun (驴打滚): Glutinous rice roll with red bean paste, coated in roasted soybean flour
- Kidney Bean Roll (芸豆卷): Kidney bean paste rolled with red bean paste for a melt-in-your-mouth texture
- Red Bean Cake (小豆凉糕): Sweetened red bean paste, chilled
The Aiwowo and Ludagun stand out as the strongest of the five, though the traditional flavour profiles may be an acquired taste for some diners.
