MilkyShop, the Seoul bakery known for its Butter Sand cookies, has opened its first Singapore pop-up at New Bahru! The pop-up runs until 2 January 2027, marking MilkyShop’s first store in Southeast Asia and its second overseas location after an earlier pop-up in Hong Kong.
For anyone who has seen MilkyShop’s retro packaging circulating on Xiaohongshu or picked up a box through a daigou service, this is the first time the brand is selling directly in Singapore.
What Is MilkyShop?

MilkyShop is a bakery brand from Seoul’s Seongsu-dong district, a neighbourhood known for setting food and retail trends in Korea.
The brand currently runs 11 stores across South Korea and has built its identity around American retro-style baked goods, most notably its Butter Sand cookies, a biscuit sandwich filled with caramel and butter-based cream.
MilkyShop’s Singapore launch is its second market outside Korea, following a pop-up in Hong Kong, and its first in Southeast Asia.
Where Is the MilkyShop Singapore Pop-Up?
The pop-up is located at Level 1, Factory Block, New Bahru.
New Bahru is a dining, retail and arts precinct built around restored heritage architecture, and has been positioning itself as a base for brands that mix international names with local creative tenants.
MilkyShop Pop-Up Menu
MilkyShop’s Butter Sand series is sold in boxes of $34 each, across four flavours:
- Creme Brulee Butter Sand (8 pieces): MilkyShop’s most popular item. A caramelised sugar shell over a buttery biscuit with a rich butter filling, built around the classic French dessert
- Milk Caramel Butter Sand (8 pieces): MilkyShop’s own milk caramel filling, paired with a biscuit base
- Peanut Butter Sand (8 pieces): A dense peanut butter and butter filling
- Matcha Butter Sand (7 pieces): Made with Uji matcha from Japan, balancing tea bitterness against the filling’s sweetness.
Each flavour is baked fresh and develops an ice cream-like texture when chilled. MilkyShop has framed the cookies as a gifting item as much as a snack, positioning the retro packaging for festive and corporate gifting.
Our recommendations are the Creme Brulee Butter Sand and Matcha Butter Sand, with the added flavours making them dangerously addictive.
Availability is limited: MilkyShop is producing 250 boxes a day for the pop-up, so stock can run out, particularly on weekends.
