Meatchelin: Korean-Style Lamb KBBQ Experience In Tanjong Pagar With Fresh Made Kimchi

Adding to the thriving KBBQ scene in Tanjong Pagar, Meatchelin welcomes customers to experience Korean-style Lamb KBBQ. Unlike traditional setups with grills at the table, the restaurant takes care of all the meat grilling for you!

Intimate and Cosy Interior

Meatchelin - Interior

Meatchelin’s KBBQ experience is located on the second floor of the establishment, where you’ll be greeted by a beautifully lit tree adorned with purple LED lights. The ambience exudes a cosy and intimate atmosphere with the dim lighting.

The seating arrangement comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests with bar counter seats!

Meatchelin Menu

Meatchelin boasts an impressive array of meat selections, including options like Prime Short Ribs ($55) and Wagyu Chuck Tail Flap ($58). If you prefer pork, they also have choices like Iberico Pork Collar ($28) and Iberico Pork Jowl ($28).

They also serve delectable sides such as the popular Ganjang Gejang ($45) and classics like Kimchi ($28) and Seafood Pancake ($30). For those seeking something unique, they offer Crab Ramen ($20)!

Kimchi

The complimentary Kimchi was undoubtedly a standout feature of our evening, offering two distinct varieties: White and Red. The White Kimchi, a less common sight in Singapore, was a pleasant surprise with its refreshing taste.

The red kimchi is prepared right before you, which we found a novel experience! Each leaf was generously coated in an addictive sweet and slightly spicy sauce It was the perfect refresher between bites of meat and we had to go for seconds (and even thirds).

6 Piece Signature Lamb Set

The 6 Piece Signature Lamb Set ($138) came with grilled bean sprouts, tomatoes, and lady finger. The lamb meat was neither gamey nor tough, but rather juicy and tender! We think even those who don’t like lamb can appreciate it.

It paired exceptionally well with their homemade sauce, which offered a savoury flavour with a hint of garlic.

Wagyu Sirloin

You must try the Wagyu Sirloin ($58)! It was cooked to perfection and stood out as one of our favourite cuts of meat! The marbling fats gave it a buttery texture, and the smokiness imparted by the charcoal grill elevated its flavour.

Seafood

Besides their meat selections, they also offer seafood dishes. We tried the Scallops ($15) and enjoyed the mild, subtly sweet flavour.

The Jumbo Red Shrimps ($15) had a unique sweetness and soft flesh! Those who enjoy sucking on shrimp heads will enjoy the rich tomalley, enhanced by a smokey charcoal fragrance.
