Little Farms Opens At Serangoon Gardens, New Spot For Gatherings With Alfresco Dining Area

Coming after the launch of Little Farms’ flagship store in Tanglin Mall, the newest outlet in Serangoon Gardens is their sixth grocery store, and fourth with a restaurant.

Little Farms Serangoon Garden

Edible Wall at Little Farms Serangoon Gardens with plants like Basil and Rosemary

Located in MyVillage, you’ll be able to find the iconic Little Farms grocery store, alongside Little Farms Bar + Grill, which features a gorgeous al fresco, pet-friendly dining area, perfect for hearty, healthy, and delicious grill-focused menu items, and drinks.

At Little Farms Grocer, fresh and seasonal produce are harvested at their prime and transported to stores within 48 hours, for a true ‘farm-to-store’ experience.

You’ll find a Deli section featuring cheeses from countries such as Australia, Greece, and France. The staff is also available to help recommend the best charcuterie for your cheese platters. You can even request a custom cheese platter based on budget and preference.

The fresh produce section imports a wide range of fresh and seasonal produce from regions like France, the UK, and Spain. You can also find sausages that are handmade on-site, marinated meats alongside King Salmon from New Zealand that’s fresh and never frozen over at the Meats & Seafood section.

For better mornings, pick up some of Starter Lab’s bread and pastries that are freshly baked daily, such as their Rosemary Lemon Sourdough Loaf, Tomato Focaccia, and Pain Au Chocolat.

There’s also a sizeable range of wines, champagnes, and spirits from boutique vineyards across France alongside exclusively imported Peccavi Wines from Margaret River. Psst, we heard that there are free wine tastings on weekends!

Menu at Little Farms Bar + Grill

Featuring a grill-focused menu, the food uses all-natural, gluten-free, and dairy-free ingredients. There’s also an edible wall with fresh greens that are used for dishes here at Little Farms.

For families with kids, you’ll be glad to know that there’s a kids menu with smaller portions of brunch (until 2pm) with items such as Juniors Avo Toast ($14), Wholesome Hotcake ($12) and Bambinos Brekkie ($16).

For lunch & dinner, there are items like Kids Bolognese Penne ($14) and Kids Garlic Prawn Mac & Cheese ($18).

Here’s what we tried during our visit to Little Farms Serangoon Garden:

From the Brunch menu, we tried the Shakshuka ($20) which was made with coddled eggs in a mixture of heirloom tomatoes and avocado, topped with feta cheese. It was served with perfectly toasted sourdough slices.

There was also the Smash Burger ($24), which featured flattened O’Connor beef meatballs sandwiched between brioche buns, ketchup, pickles, and a fiery sriracha sauce that helps to cut through the greasiness. The highlight were the handmade large crispy onion rings on the side, which were soaked in milk for a day to remove any bitterness, resulting in sweet, delicious rings.

The Bolognese ($24) here isn’t your usual Bolognese. The dish uses lumaconi, a large snail shell-shaped pasta, that’s served with a pork and beef ragu sauce cooked in-house over two days.

We also tried the Free Range Pork Rack ($28) which was glazed with a Korean gochujang sauce and slow-cooked in the oven for 90 minutes with lime, pear, apple, soy, and mirin and finished on the grill.

Another item from the charcoal grill was the Roaring Forties Lamb Cutlets ($36) which were served with a refreshing Mango Chimichurri. The lamb was tender and had a nice smokiness after being grilled over applewood.

For sides, you can dig into items like Garlic Prawn Mac & Cheese ($18). Disco Fries ($8), Smokey Grilled Veg ($8), Serangoon Slaw ($8) & more.

Wash the meal down with any of their signature cocktails or opt for a glass of frozen margarita that comes in 3 flavours: lime, passionfruit, and grapefruit.

Giving Back To The Community

Little Farms has a zero-waste initiative and always gives back to the community, so they set aside unsold bakes for Divert for 2nd Life (D2L) rescuers to collect at the end of the day to be redistributed, along with other products.
