Singapore is a hotspot for Chinese restaurant brands, introducing a variety of unique cuisines in elevated preparations. LINKUS is the newest addition to Suntec City, specialising in Minan (Hokkien) cuisine from the colourful Fujian region in China.
Retro Modern Chinese Interior

LINKUS 临家 is a renowned Xiamen-based restaurant chain with 24 chains across China, earning accolades like the “Top Ten Signature Dishes of Xiamen” award and 7-year consecutive features on China’s prestigious “Must-Eat List”.
This Suntec City outlet is their first international outlet and first foray into Southeast Asia.
The restaurant sports a sleek, old-money-inspired interior, featuring darker colour palettes with touches of traditional Fujianese houses.
We liked the little Minannese details peppered throughout the space, including brick carvings and Yongchun lacquer baskets.
Aside from the large seating space, there are two private rooms available for intimate gatherings.
LINKUS Menu
For the uninitiated, Minnan cuisine hails from Fujian province, particularly Xiamen, Quanzhou and Zhangzhou.
Dishes focus on the light and natural flavours of its ingredients, bringing out their umami with seafood and fermented seasonings.
The LINKUS menu introduces this rich food culture through a curated menu, starting with a list of signatures.
Choose from the Yong’An Yellow Chili Baking Grouper ($158) or Yongchun Vinegar Braised Pork Trotters ($20.90), alongside the Xiamen Soy Sauce Braised Mixed Seafood ($42.90) with the day’s selection of fresh catch.
The list extends to lavish options like Hokkien Rice Cake Steamed with Mud Crab ($89) and Xiamen Satay-Baked Boston Lobster ($80)
Minnan classics are also available, ranging from Fujian Buddha Jumps Over The Wall ($119) or the special Quanzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Beef Soup ($9.90/portion)
They also have a surprising variety of cold dishes and Hokkien snacks. Sample the Flying Fish Roe Tossed with First-Harvest Laver ($16.90) or Zhangzhou Five-Spice Roll & Lotus Pastry ($16.90/6 pcs).
One of LINKUS’s unique offerings is its premium tea selection! Savour premium Chinese teas ranging from Shangyan Rougui (Rock Tea, $38) to the prized 3-Year Aged Imperial Ripe Pu’Er ($98).
What We Tried At LINKUS
Our meal began with Dongshan Squid Tubes In Spicy Chilli Oil ($49.90).
Despite the huge squid pieces, they were surprisingly tender and sweet, making them the perfect carrier for the punchy, garlic-infused oil.
The next two cold dishes might be acquired tastes, especially the Xiamen Tsundong Jelly ($3.50). This interesting item featured a special seaworm suspended in a clear jelly.
The seaworm had a chewy texture but no prominent flavour, with most of the taste coming from the topping of chilli and soy sauce.
It’s a Xiamen speciality but not something we would re-order!
The Nanping Bamboo Shoots Tossed In Sichuan Peppercorn Sauce ($15.90) was crunchy and refreshing, with a subtly numbing sensation instead of a hard-hitting mala spice.
The Dahongpao Sichuan Pepper Braised Ningde Yellow Croaker ($55) surprised us with its toasty fragrance and tender, sweet fish!
We liked how the pepper added a smoky kick that somehow complemented the delicate fish really well.
Another Xiamen speciality is the Xiamen Satay Seafood Pot ($39.90). The broth is a Minan-style satay sauce that tastes like a laksa-curry hybrid with the familiar peanut flavour! It wasn’t overly thick or seasoned, making it easy to drink.
The pot came with beef, squid and tofu, enough to share among 2 to 3 people.
We highly recommend getting their You Tiao ($3). It’s made in-house, served hot and crispy – perfect for absorbing the nutty, comforting soup.
