Koggii: $39.90 Korean Charcoal BBQ Buffet in Suntec City with A Korean-Style Caifan Lunch Experience

Koggii is the latest Korean restaurant to open in Suntec City, and if you find the name slightly familiar, it’s because it’s opened by the people who brought you Onggii! While we thought Koggii was going to be just another Korean BBQ restaurant, it’s not. Right now, Koggii might just be the most value-for-money KBBQ Buffet restaurant in Singapore.

Koggii KBBQ Buffet Singapore

Koggii offers a free-flow KBBQ experience during weekday dinners and all day on weekends. Right now, it’s priced at $39.90 which is on the reasonable side for a Korean BBQ buffet.

First impressions matter a lot, and we were impressed to see Koggii using charcoal fire for their grills. This helps to add a smoky touch to the meats.

Over at the side dish counter, you’ll find everything you need for an authentic KBBQ experience. From fresh lettuce for wraps to items like garlic, onion, green chilli, and ssamjang. They even had mushrooms, corn, and pumpkin for you to grill.

There was a wide variety of meat, but we really enjoyed their take on Samgyeopsal. They had a wine-marinated samgyeopsal, along with a doenjang-marinated one. For something more unique, you can try the Honeycomb Samgyeopsal, which features a skillfully cut pork belly, which allows for the meat to cook evenly for the best texture.

Koggii also offers other cuts such as beef and chicken, if you’d like a bit more variety for your meal.

It doesn’t just end here.

Apart from meat, Koggii also has cooked dishes for everyone to enjoy. They include a mix of Korean and Western-inspired dishes, with Items like tteokbokki, japchae, pasta, potato gratin, salad, and pizzas.

There’s also a DIY soup section where the soup of the day changes. During our visit, we had Korean Army Stew, so there were sausages, ramyeon noodles, and ham on the counter.

Korean Caifan Experience

During lunch, Koggii offers a Korean caifan experience. What is that, you might ask. It basically mimics typical Korean company cafeterias, where they have a rotating menu of dishes every day.

Priced between $9.90 to $14.90, depending on the menu of the day, diners can enjoy a variety of dishes, like your typical local caifan.

During our visit, lunch featured items like stir-fried anchovies, steamed eggs, kimchi, pork/chicken kimbap, stir-fried pork, stir-fried chicken and squid, rice, and doenjang soup.

You’ll be given a bento tray, and you can place whatever amount you want to it on the tray. Do note you can only take the food once, no refills, so make sure to take as much as you want – just don’t waste food!

The rice, soup, and kimchi are free flow though.

After you’re done, make sure to return your trays like you would at an actual company cafeteria!

Koggii reveals the lunch menu ahead of time, so you can take a look at the menu and decide when to go beforehand! Here’s the link for the menu from 25 Nov to 6 Dec.
