Gupshup: All-You-Can-Eat Buffet In Little India With Dishes Like Pani Poori & Lotus Papdi Chaat

Gupshup is a restaurant helmed by a former Masterchef India judge and is located in The Serangoon House, focusing on the colourful selection of flavours across India.

They’re offering a Great Indian Feast with 13 dishes from all over India, and for 90 minutes, it’s unlimited and all-you-can-eat so you can pick what dishes you like best!

Great Indian Feast Menu

The 13 dishes take inspiration from vibrant regional dishes from Delhi, Bombay, Punjab, Calcutta, and are meant to celebrate the diverse culinary scene in India.

Apart from this feast, they also offer ala carte dishes on their regular lunch and dinner menu. View the full menu here

PSA: They are currently offering an attractive 1-for-1 promotion on this feast for $59++ for 2pax, making it only $30 per person!

Do note that this promotion is only applicable on Fridays to Sundays from 12pm to 2.30pm and 5pm to 9pm.

Appetisers

Clockwise from left: Lotus Papdi Chaat, Pani Poori, Bhindi Amchur

There are 3 appetisers; Lotus Papdi Chaat, Pani Poori, and Bhindi Amchur

The Lotus Papdi Chaat stood out the most! It had a texture similar to a biscuit while the tomatoes, onions, yoghurt and pomegranate sauce made it very flavourful.

Bhindi Amchur is made of okra and was fried well, though it was a tad bit salty for us.

The Pani Poori had a nice crisp shell and was refreshing, starting the meal off on a good note.

Small Plates

The feast comes with 7 different small plates, four of which are fixed dishes and three of which can be chosen from the options available.

L to R: Chicken Keema Kal Dosa, Potato Kal Dosa

Guests have the option of choosing between Chicken Keema Kal Dosa, or Potato Kal Dosa, which are crepes filled with spiced minced chicken and curried crushed potato respectively.

The Potato Kal Dosa stood out to us with its  soft texture  and spiced potato filling!

L to R: Chicken Chettinad Curry, Paneer Tawa Masala

For mains, pick between the Chicken Chettinad Curry or Paneer Tawa Masala.

Both go equally well with rice and bread!  If we were to recommend one, it would be the Chicken Chettinad Curry because of the stronger spice taste.

Other side plates include Chicken 65, Gosht Seekh Kebab, and a bowl of Rice or a Bread Basket

L to R: Chilli Paneer, Amritsari Chole & Tandoori Kulcha

There are also vegan options, like the Chilli Paneer and Amritsari Chole & Tandoori Kulcha

The Amritsari Chole & Tandoori Kulcha is Gupshup’s signature! Stewed chickpeas are served with bread, stuffed with spiced potatoes and dried pomegranate.

This had an interestingly deep flavour and we can foresee many enjoying this.

Chilli Paneer is a type of cottage cheese with a chilli-garlic-soy sauce and was very addictive!

Sweet Endings

Top to bottom: Elaneer Payasam, Kulfi Falooda

There’s 2 dessert options to end the meal off on a sweet note; Kulfi Falooda and Elaneer Payasam

Kulfi Falooda is an Indian rendition of ice cream made of reduced milk and topped with pistachio, while the Elaneer Payasam is a rice and coconut pudding with cardamom, cashew nuts and raisins.

Both were very different desserts yet enjoyable in their own way. We preferred the Kulfi Falooda because it truly tasted like an ice cream!

Indian Buffet At Little India

As people who haven’t had much experience with Indian food, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here!

Considering the ongoing promotion makes it  only $59++ for 2 pax to enjoy 13 refillable dishes, we’d say this is a pretty value-for-money meal.
