TLDR; Elijah Pies opened its third and largest outlet, a 60-seat flagship cafe, at 72 Joo Chiat Place in mid-September 2026. Housed in a restored 1930s Peranakan shophouse designed by Nice Projects, the studio behind three-Michelin-starred Odette, it debuts Joo Chiat-exclusive items including a soufflé pie, four pizza pie flavours, and a craft mocktail series.
Elijah Pies has made a name for itself since its humble beginnings as a home business in 2014. After a successful sit-down concept in Tanjong Pagar, the pie-speciality cafe has a new outlet in Joo Chiat.
What Is Elijah Pies?
Elijah Pies started in 2014 as a home-based business by husband-wife duo Elijah Tan and Limin Wong.
It all started with their Nutella Pie, the brand’s original flavour, and remains its bestseller. Over the years since, the team has developed more than 40 original pie flavours across dessert, savoury, mini, and cheese categories, drawing on childhood memories and travel for inspiration.
The brand runs a cafe at Tanjong Pagar Plaza and a takeaway-only baking studio on King George’s Avenue.
The Joo Chiat Flagship

Elijah Pies’ Joo Chiat outlet occupies a restored Peranakan shophouse built around 1930, and the design leans into that heritage.
The interior was developed over six months with Nice Projects, a London-Sydney design studio best known in Singapore for three-Michelin-star restaurant Odette and lifestyle destination New Bahru.
The space uses 1,480 Italian-carved travertine tiles laid in a geometric pattern as a nod to Peranakan motifs, set against a navy blue shopfront facade.
Every piece of decor was specially curated from around the world, including blue crystal tables from Brazil and hand-blown lights from Europe. It gives the space an eclectic and elevated Parisian feel while still feeling warm and inviting.
Seating is split across a few zones: a 10-seater communal table built around a Lazy Susan, a private dining corner with a botanical backdrop by This Humid House, and window seating along the shophouse frontage.
The outdoor area is pet-friendly with its own water station. They offer complimentary dog biscuits and also sell “Pup Pies” ($9) made with chicken breast, potato, Chinese yam, and coconut cream in collaboration with pet bakery Petissier.

What We Tried
The Elijah’s Soufflé Pie ($18) is the star of the Joo Chiat exclusive items. Every pie is made to order, topped with a baked chocolate mousse, gianduja (hazelnut chocolate) centre and hazelnut praline.
It was decadent but not too sweet, with a rich nuttiness and cocoa-forward finish from the darker chocolate!
For savoury pies, we had the Ruffles ($23), one of four Pizza Pie flavours.
This series is built on a croissant-style laminated dough folded into 27 layers of butter and flour. Finished with a sour cream potato foam, this tasted exactly like the potato chip flavour!
There are three other Pizza Pie fillings: Garlic Ebi ($22), Cheeseburger ($23) or Truffle Croque ($24).
They also have a Joo Chiat-exclusive sweet pie: Kaya Toffee ($9). This tasted like nostalgic handmade kaya, with fresh pandan notes and a slight caramel from the toffee base.
We also tried the Rolly Lolly ($13) mocktail, purposely crafted with cocktail methodology. Made with clarified mango juice and grapefruit oleo saccahrum, this was a light and refreshing drink.
Their regular drinks like Matcha Strawberry ($9) and Kaya Latte ($9) are pretty and worth the order.
