Din Tai Fung Resorts World Sentosa: First Outlet In Asia With Cocktail-Tea Bar & Exclusive Items Like Kaya Buns

We were intrigued when we received news that Din Tai Fung was going to offer cocktails. Their newest outlet in Weave, Resorts World Sentosa presents a premium concept with a cocktail bar – Asia’s first – alongside a tea bar and exclusive items!

We had to see what this new outlet had to offer.

Asia’s First Din Tai Fung Cocktail Bar

For some background, Weave is the newest upcoming mall extension at Resorts World Sentosa, with lots of exciting openings, including Standard Bread.

The Din Tai Fung now spans an impressive two units, with a dedicated segment for the open cocktail and tea bar!

Their usual open kitchen and calm, light wood layout is still visible. There’s also art by five internationally renowned artists – Tan Oe Pang 陈有炳, Zao Wou-Ki 趙无极, Chang Dai-chien 张大千, Lê Phổ 黎谱, and Yai Qian, 钱瘦铁.

Patrons can sit at the counter to watch their drinks being made or enjoy the ornate tea sessions with their speciality Pineapple Cakes.

Din Tai Fung Sentosa Menu

The menu remains largely the same with classics like Pork Xiao Long Bao ($12.30/6, $15.80/10) and Fried Rice with Eggs ($12).

There are a few Sentosa-exclusive items, starting with a full cocktail menu! There are three signature drinks – Din ($30), Tai ($30), and Fung ($30) – each with a different flavour profile.

If you prefer sweet, we recommend Din with strawberry and jasmine; for something stronger get the Fung with Bacardi spiced rum.

There is a selection of bar snacks for your drinks, including the Taiwanese fried chicken ($9.80), crispy battered squid ($11.80), or the Fried Cod Bites ($36.80) with truffle sour plum powder.

The Xiao Long Bao options are also expanded with the new Steamed Beef Tenderloin XLB ($18/6, $27/10), filled with minced tenderloin.

This exceeded our expectations with a rich umami broth, almost like a bowl of beef noodles inside a thin dumpling skin!

There are also dessert xiao long baos, in flavours like Steamed Coconut Yuzu Bun ($3/pc, $8.50/3) and Honey Chocolate Buns ($4.20/pc, $12/3) with a lava sweet chocolate filling.

Something special is the Premium Lobster Dry Noodle in Chef’s Seafood Sauce ($39.80), served with a runny onsen egg.

It was perfumed with shallot oil and savoury sauce, complemented by the creamy egg yolk and chewy noodles!

If you’re feeling extra bougie, you can top all your foods with a side of Caviar (30g/$90, 50g/$160). We got to try and well… it’s an experience, but not for everyone.
