Quick answer: Decker Barbecue opened its second outlet and new flagship at the conserved Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, 260 Upper Bukit Timah Road, Singapore 588190, on 7 August 2026. The 4,000 sq ft smokehouse runs a 14-foot, three-tonne A.N. Bewley offset smoker shipped from Texas, the only one in Southeast Asia, smoking meats for up to 12 hours. Build-your-own sharing platters run from $40 for one to $288 for six, with over 10 smoked meats and 10+ sides. It serves lunch, weekend brunch and dinner, is closed Mondays, and pours draught beer at 1–2°C in pre-frozen glasses.
Barbecue and fire stations have an obvious thing in common, and Decker Barbecue Bukit Timah has leaned all the way into it.
Singapore’s dedicated house of low-and-slow craft opened its new flagship on 7 August 2026 inside the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station, a 1956 building where firefighters actually worked, now gazetted for conservation and converted into a smokehouse. It’s the brand’s second outlet after the original Robertson Quay location, and it’s substantially bigger in every direction: 4,000 sq ft, a 14-foot Texas smoker, and a menu that runs across lunch, brunch and dinner.
What Is Decker Barbecue?

Decker Barbecue started at Robertson Quay in 2015, built on Central Texas barbecue technique, meat smoked low and slow, seasoned simply, cooked over a long fire. It was acquired by PS.Gourmet Group, the company behind PS.Cafe, in 2025. The Bukit Timah opening is the first major move since.
The kit is the headline. Decker cooks on a 14-foot, three-tonne offset smoker shipped over from Texas, made by A.N. Bewley, and it’s the only A.N. Bewley smoker operating in Southeast Asia.
While the menu is Western at its core, with smoked meats using a Texas smoker, Decker Barbecue has injected Asian elements into the menu and experience.
“What makes Decker Decker is that it doesn’t stop at Texas. We’ve brought in Asian creativity and local culture to make something that feels distinctively Singaporean.” — Michael Bovell, CEO, PS.Gourmet Group

Three different menus run at three different times, and they don’t all overlap with the door hours. Worth checking before you head down to Decker Barbecue Bukit Timah.

How Much Do The Platters Cost?
The build-your-own platter is the core of the dinner menu: pick from 10+ smoked meats and 10+ sides, all served together on one sharing tray.
| Platter | Price | What you get | Per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| For One | $40 | 2 meats + 2 sides | $40.00 |
| For Two | $78 | 3 meats + 3 sides | $39.00 |
| For Three | $114 | 4 meats + 4 sides | $38.00 |
| For Four | $208 | 5 meats + 5 sides + 1 snack + 2 desserts | $52.00 |
| For Six | $288 | 6 meats + 6 sides + 2 appetisers + 3 desserts | $48.00 |
The For Three platter is the cheapest per head, at $38. The jump to For Four isn’t a rip-off, it bundles in a snack and two desserts, but if you’re purely after meat and sides, three people ordering the For Three is the most efficient way to eat here.
Watch the supplements. Two of the most popular meats cost extra on top of the platter price: Wagyu Beef Brisket (+$5) and Pork Belly Burnt Ends (+$4). The showstopper Dino Ribs are Friday to Sunday only and add +$60 to any platter.
There’s also a Veggie Sharing Platter for two ($29) with coal-roasted vegetables, smoked mushrooms and charred pineapple, priced well below the meat platters, and treated as a real dish rather than an afterthought.
What We Ate
We ordered the For Three platter with the Wagyu brisket upgrade, so $119 rather than the headline $114, plus wings and a pizza to start. That worked out to $165 for three, or $55 a head before drinks.
Kaffir Lime Hot Honey Wings ($18)
Crispy wings tossed in hot honey with fried kaffir lime leaf, served with turmeric pickles and calamansi on the side. The kaffir lime is the thing that makes this more than a standard hot-honey wing. It comes through as a bright, citrus-peel note against the sweetness, and squeezing the calamansi over cuts the stickiness. The turmeric pickles do the same job from the other direction. A good opener precisely because it’s sharp rather than heavy.
Brisket Rillette Pizza Pie ($28)
A 14-inch pie spread with slow-cooked brisket rillette, dotted with mellow smoked garlic, then finished with piccalilli and chilli flakes. It features brisket broken down into something spreadable and rich, so this feels more like a loaded flatbread than your conventional pizza. The piccalilli adds a nice tang and crunch; order it to share; it’s fairly substantial.
The For Three Platter ($114, +$5 for Wagyu brisket)
The meats:
The Wagyu Beef Brisket is what you’re here for, and for a $5 supplement, it made no sense not to get it. It arrives with a visible smoke ring, a firm peppery bark and a fat cap that’s rendered rather than chewy. The Pulled Pork is the classic, slightly sweet counterpoint and the most versatile thing on the tray for piling onto sides. The Pork Sausage has a coarse grind and a well-judged spice mix, closer to a proper Texas hot link than a breakfast banger. The Chicken Thigh is the mildest of the four, juicy, gently smoked, and the one to give anyone at the table who finds brisket too intense.
The sides:
The Kailan “Collard Greens” is one of the many vegetable options on the menu: it’s slightly tangy, which helps to refresh the palate every once in a while. The Corny Cornbread comes with cheese, jalapeño and honey butter, moist, crumbly and lightly sweet, our favourite side!
Mac & Cheese is a smooth, well-seasoned classic with toasted crumbs on top. The Burnt Pineapple is the one to order without hesitating: charred pineapple with rendang-spiced hot honey and chimichurri, sweet and smoky and sharp all at once, and the best thing on the tray for resetting your palate between bites.
TIP: If you order four sides, try to make at least two of them acidic.
What Else Is On The Menu?
We only ate at dinner, so the rest is from the Decker Barbecue Bukit Timah Menu rather than our table.
Dinner also runs the Decker Seafood Pot ($68, for two) with tiger prawns, crawfish, mussels, clams, sausage, tomatoes and corn; the Smoked Garlic Pie ($24), a vegetarian option; and the Firehouse Dino Meat Pizza Pie ($88), topped with a whole Dino Rib and served with a sparkler. Desserts are the Banana & Sesame Poppers ($14) and the Peach Cobbler Sundae ($12).
Lunch (Tues–Fri) is sandwiches, rice bowls and salads. You have items like a Brisket & Piccalilli Stack ($20), Shrimp Po’Boy ($20), and the Rendang Brisket Rice Bowl ($20), which folds smoked brisket into rendang sauce over dirty basmati with kailan, cashews and a jammy egg.
Brunch (Sat & Sun) is where the Asian accents get loudest. The Shrimp & Grits ($26) is pitched as a nod to Cantonese porridge, with soft-cooked egg and crispy you tiao. There’s also a Bacon & Brisket Cinnamon Scroll ($8) made with rendered brisket fat and dusted with five spice, Smoked Mushrooms & Eggs ($24) in mala oil, the Aloha Crispy Chicken Burger ($28), and Peaches & Cream Eggy Toast ($24).
What’s The Beer Like?
Decker has put real money into the beer setup here.
There’s a dedicated glycol chilling system and a frosted font pouring draught at a consistent 1–2°C, always into a pre-frozen glass. The core range comes from local craft brewery Rye & Pint: an American Pale Ale, a West Coast IPA and an Amber Lager, plus rotating seasonals, with Tiger and Guinness on tap and around thirty bottled beers in the chiller.
Beyond beer, there are cocktails, soft drinks, iced tea, coffee, soft serve and slushies.
Is Decker Barbecue Bukit Timah Worth It?
A few things to weigh:
- Budget roughly $55–$65 a head for dinner with a starter and a beer. The platter alone is $38–$40 per person.
- Three is the magic number. For Three is the cheapest per-head tier at $38.
- Add the Wagyu brisket. It’s $5, come on.
- It’s genuinely good for mixed groups. Vegetarians get a real platter, not a side salad, and the seafood pot is a full dish.
- Go on Friday to Sunday if you want the Dino Ribs. They’re not available Tuesday to Thursday.
- Parking and transport: Beauty World MRT is the easy option. There’s a carpark but spaces might be limited.
