Culinary Class Wars ‘Cooking Maniac’ Chef Yoon Nam No Has Collaboration Menu With SEORAE JIB

Fans of Culinary Class Wars will be happy to know there’s a chance to try food by ‘Cooking Maniac’ Chef Yoon Nam No! He has collaborated with SEORAE JIB for an exclusive menu selection available from 28 March 2025

The menu has four items, starting with two different marinated meat cuts!

Misoyaki Galmaegisal

The Misoyaki Galmaegisal features SEORAE JIB’s prized pork cut in a Korean red miso and Korean sake marinade. There is only 250g of galmaegisal available in a full-grown pig, making it a super premium cut!

The miso-sake combination created a rich, sweet and layered flavour that tasted extra good when caramalised over the charcoal.

The second cut is a Nuruk So Anchangsal – Australian Black Angus outside skirt – marinated in nuruk. Nuruk is the fermentation starter for makgeolli (Korean rice wine), which helps tenderise and flavour the meat.

This was our pick of the two. There was a unique umami from the nuruk that elevated the flavour of the beef, something we’ve never really tasted before here.

Our surprising favourite was the Buchaesol Sotbap! It was served with a side of aekjot (Korean fish sauce) salad; a first we’ve seen.

However, it elevated the dish. The salty, tangy and spicy veggies cut through the rich slices of Angus Oyster Blade beef and rice. We also really enjoyed the sotbap itself, from the lightly seasoned rice infused with the fragrance of shiitake mushrooms.

For dessert, Chef Yoon Nam No included a Makkoli sorbet. Inspired from a drink made by a bartender friend, the sorbet infuses makgeolli, cider and fresh lemon zest for a sweet and refreshing finish to the meal.

These are available in a Pork Set ($98), Beef Set ($128) and Pork and Beef Set ($118).
