Callebaut Launches NXT, A 100% Plant-Based Dairy-Free Chocolate With The Same Great Taste

You read that right. Callebaut is launching Callebaut NXT, a 100% plant-based, chocolate that’s free of any trace of dairy, while still retaining the same delicious taste and quality of traditional chocolate.

This means that you can use Callebaut NXT in traditional pastry and chocolate recipes to elevate dairy-free, vegan, and plant-based chocolate delights to cater to a wider audience.

The chocolate is produced in a dedicated facility where no dairy ingredients are processed, and they use sunflower lecithin and is free of any artificial additives, flavourings or colourants. You might be wondering, milk chocolate that’s dairy-free? How do they do that?

Well, the answer is simple – chufa or tiger nut.

NXT Dairy-free M_lk (the milk version of Callebaut NXT) derives its creamy mouthfeel from chufa, also known as the tiger nut, which renders a plant-based ‘milk’ that has a creamy and naturally sweet taste. This allows the dairy-free milk chocolate to taste almost 95% similar to usual milk chocolate.
