Located within The Editor’s Market’s flagship store in Takashimaya is Found Cafe, a sleek, minimalistic cafe that gives off Korean cafe vibes. Previously, the cafe only sold desserts and simple bakes, but they have recently launched a new Brunch menu, alongside a lunch & dinner menu!
Brunch Cafe in Orchard
The new brunch menu at Found Cafe is available from 10am to 5pm and offers items like an Eggs & Bread Platter ($12) where one can opt for additional add-ons like Portobello Mushroom ($4), Smoked Haddock ($7), Thyme Garlic Sausage ($6) & more.
You’ll also find items like Steak and Eggs ($32), Baked Eggs & Avocado ($24) and their Half & Half Toast ($16).
Comprising of 10 different “flavours”, one can choose two options for the Half & Half Toast. Here’s what you can choose from:
- Scrambled Eggs and Cheese
- Avocado and Chives
- Four Cheese
- Prosciutto and Honey
- Berries and Ricotta
- Honey Mascarpone and Figs
- Kale Pesto and Egg
- Smoked Haddock and Cream Cheese
- Mentaiko Prawn
- Burrata and Tomatoes
We tried a combination of Honey Mascarpone and Figs with Berries and Ricotta, and a combination of Mentaiko Prawn with Avocado and Chives. What we liked about their Half & Half Toast is how one can combine both savoury and sweet options into one menu item. So, if you’re not a heavy eater, you can have both your main and dessert all at once!
We enjoyed the flavours of the Mentaiko Prawn but did hope that the texture of the prawns could be improved. The cheese on both sweet options was light and paired well with the fruits.
If you’re a fan of avocado toasts, go for the Avocado and Chives which had a generous topping of creamy, fresh avocado.
Lunch & Dinner Menu
The previously launched lunch & dinner menu is also available from 12 to 8pm. We managed to try some of the dishes while we were there.
The Cauliflower Ajo Blanco ($10) is part of their Small Plates menu and is a great starter dish. A combination of tangy and refreshing flavours, with the bursting texture of pomegranate seeds, made the dish more fun and unique.
We also had the Spinach Ravioli ($19) which featured house-made ravioli, spinach, ricotta, nutmeg, sage and brown butter. It was a creamy mix of flavours, with the texture of the ravioli really standing out.
Lastly, the Black Cod ($28) dish highlighted the freshness of the fish with a beautiful sear and a layer of cooked-to-a-perfect crisp skin. The charred leeks were a great addition as they helped to cut through the greasiness of the cod.
