Cafe Coco Launches NEW Brown Butter Choux Puffs With Flavours Like Earl Grey Lavender and Strawberry Basil

We still remembering sipping on Cafe Coco’s Popcorn Quarantinis last year during the circuit breaker. Since then, Cafe Coco has several seasonal items such as the French Lavender Weekend Brunch Set and Christmas-inspired bottled brews.

Inspired by some of their best-selling brews, Cafe Coco is launching a box of assorted Brown Butter Choux Puffs with flavours such as Earl Grey Lavender, Salted Caramel and more!

Cafe Coco Choux Puffs

Before going into detail, can we just say how beautiful these choux puffs are? They come in a comfortable size with a nice crispy crumble on the outside. The inside is filled to the brim with delicious cream.

French Vanilla Custard

Start with the original vanilla custard choux puff that comes with a creamy custard speckled with French vanilla beans. A nice balance of creaminess.

Earl Grey Lavender

Inspired by their best-selling brew, bite into a bold, floral tea blend cream made using real lavender blossoms.

Sometimes lavender can be a dangerous option since too much might make it taste like soap. However, Cafe Coco’s take on the Earl Grey Lavender Choux Puff was amazing. We loved the light floral fragrance in the cream which wasn’t too overpowering.

Hazelnut Ganache

If you love Nutella, you’ll love this. The hazelnut choux puff is bursting with nutty, chocolatey hazelnut flavours.

Lemon Meringue

A refreshing option, especially for those who aren’t fans of intense sweet treats. The centre of the puff is filled with zesty lemon curd and topped with Italian meringue.

Strawberry Basil

A beautiful blend of herbaceous flavours of basil and the fresh tropical flavours of strawberries. We loved the mix of basil which helped to accentuate the tartness of the strawberry flavour.

It’s also not too sweet, which would be a great dessert to share with your parents!

Salted Caramel Espresso

Imagine burnt caramel, Himalayan pink salt and an intense espresso note all together in one puff. The Salted Caramel Choux Puff is inspired by their popular Quarantine Blend.

We did find the saltiness to be slightly off-balance – pairing this with a nice black coffee would be great.
