Brasserie Astoria is a restaurant located within Victoria Theater & Concert Hall, just a short walk away from Timbre Signatures. With their golden hour menu available only on Fridays and Saturdays, from 3pm to 6pm, you can find selected dishes for only $12!
European, Classy Vibes
The area has golden elements that impart a posh and grand feel to the space. It reminded us of the old European elegance with its wall decor!
We recommend coming down early if you’re aiming for the limited counter seats. They make a great spot to catch the bartenders skillfully preparing your drinks right before your eyes!
Brasserie Astoria Menu
The golden hour menu may have a limited selection, but it’s enough for a satisfying tea break. Offerings include mains like the classic Margherita Pizza ($12) and sides such as Garlic Bread ($12). Enjoy golden hour sipping on cocktails like Boozy Spritz and Haiti, or opt for the non-alcoholic wine, all available for just $12 each!
During other times of the day, the menu includes dishes like Iberico Pork ($46) and Kebab Pizza ($35). For those with a sweet tooth, there are desserts like Sesame Soft Ice Cream ($16) and Banana Creme Brulee ($19).
Smashed Burgers
We tried the Smashed Burger ($12) and it quickly became one of our favourites! The bun maintained its crispiness and had a toasty buttery flavour.
The beef patty was satisfyingly thick and juicy, topped with melted cheddar cheese. It was finished off with a drizzle of spicy horseradish sauce, adding a nice spicy kick to the burger.
Calamares Fritos
The Calamares Fritos ($12) makes an excellent pairing with the golden hour beverages. They’re fried to a golden crisp, with a light and crunchy texture, making them quite addictive!
The accompanying galangal aioli carries a slight citrusy taste that elevates the dish’s flavour profile, which we really enjoyed.
Spanish Ham
The Spanish Ham ($12) offered a savoury taste with a hint of smokiness. It was served with a few sweet melon cubes, which provided a delightful contrast in flavours when eaten together. However, we felt that more melon could be added!
