While Baskin Robbins outlets can be easily found in Korea, the latest addition to the chain of Baskin Robbins stores is a hanok-themed concept store located in Samcheong-dong.

The area near Anguk station and Gyeongbukgung is one of the areas in Seoul where you can experience a mix of past and present. Some famous attractions in the area include Bukchon Hanok Village and Gyeongbukgung. It is also home to lots of hanok themed cafes such as Café Onion Anguk. Hence, having a hanok concept store in the area makes perfect sense.

Baskin Robbins concept stores in Korea is not a new thing. Some previously launched concept stores include Hive Hannam, a concept store serving speciality coffee and organic ice-cream. Another one would be Baskin Robbins Lumine located in Apgujeong.

There are also more fun concept stores such as the Baskin Robbins x Simpsons store in Seongnam city.

Baskin Robbins Korea: Madang

With a new concept store, comes a new menu. The Samcheong-dong outlet menu features some classic traditional Korean flavours to match the entire Hanok vibe. These signature items can only found at the Samcheong-dong outlet.

Both are served with traditional Korean rice crackers.

Just by looking at it, the Wawa Tteok looks like any other ice-cream with a waffle. However, the Wawa Tteok is not just any waffle, it has Injeolmi hidden within the waffle!

It’s served with a scoop of Injeolmi ice-cream.

Sweet Pumpkin Sikhye Blast

One of their signature drinks here is the Sweet Pumpkin Sikhye Blast. It’s basically an ice-blended pumpkin sikhye (sweet rice drink) topped off with pieces of Yugwa, a traditional Korean glutinous rice snack that looks like a huge rice puff.

Sibjeondaebo Tea (十全大補茶) is a type of medical tea made using 10 different herbs such as Angelica Root, Cinnamon Bark and Jujubes. The tea is usually served warm, but here at Baskin Robbins Madang, the traditional drink is given a modern twist and blended with ice.

We are definitely adding this place to our list of places to visit in Seoul once we are able to travel! Hanok cafes are a great way to experience Korea and this concept store by Baskin Robbins is sure to be a hit amongst locals and tourists.
