5 Spots To See Cherry Blossoms In Seoul: Parks, Palaces & More

There’s nothing quite like the sight of cherry blossoms in spring and Seoul is home to some of the most picturesque spots to enjoy them!

From parks to streets to palaces, here are 5 locations to immerse yourself in cherry blossom season in the city.

Where To See Cherry Blossoms In Seoul

Seokcheon Lake Park

Chery blossoms at Seokcheon Lake Park

Seokcheon Lake Park (also known as Songpa Naru Park) is in Jamsil. It encompasses Lotte World and Lotte World Mall.

The walking trail is lined with cherry blossom trees and at its peak, the park looks straight out of a K-drama. The trees reach into the water, adding a nice pink to the blue backdrop.

We walked along the East Lake in front of Lotte World Mall and were awe-struck at how pretty it was!

It’s also the site of the annual Seokcheon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival with a few fun activities. If you’re not keen, you can also head into Lotte World Mall to shop or grab some doughnuts

Changgyeoggung Palace

One of the five royal palaces in Seoul, Changgyeoggung Palace in Anguk is not talked about enough.

It’s lesser known than Gyeongbukgong but equally picturesque and significantly less crowded, making it a good alternative to the former.

There are cherry blossom trees within the palace grounds, making for perfect Hanbok pictures with the traditional architecture!

There is also a zoo and glasshouse botanical garden which are worth the visit. The entry fee is 1,000 won.

Seoul Forest Park

Seoul Forest Park is known for its cherry blossoms for good reason! The large park has two main cherry blossom spots: the Culture & Art Park and ECO Forest.

We visited the ECO Forest, which had a long walking trail lined with blossoming trees. It wasn’t peak season but the park was still filled with pink petals. There’s also a deer park where you can feed the deer.

The park is accessible from Seoul Forest station and walkable from Seongsu, a popular area for cafes and shopping.

Hapjeong

Hapjeong is another popular region with locals and visitors alike. There’s a street right outside the train station called Hongdae Sol Naegil Trail (홍대솔내길) with cherry blossom trees!

It makes for a pleasant walk while exploring the area. We recommend finding a cafe to sit and enjoy the flowers

Gyeongui Line Forest Park

Gyeongui Line Forest Park is a walking trail between stations on the Gyeongui Line (경의중앙), including Hongdae and Gongdeok.

The trail is known for its cherry blossom trees, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing walk!

We walked between Gongdeok and Hongdae station, which took about 20 minutes. With the cooling weather and pretty flowers, this became one of our favourite cherry blossom spots.
