Here’s What to Eat at Artbox Singapore 2019

Artbox Singapore Garden of Eden

Artbox Singapore is back and it’s bigger than ever! Taking place over two weekends at The Grounds @ Kranji this year, the event boasts over 300 stalls from both local and regional vendors.

Compared to previous years, there’s less squeezing and more walking space, which means a more comfortable Artbox Singapore experience as compared to the previous years! The queues are not that bad, as compared to those from the Shilin Night Market event which was held at the exact location in April this year.

If you’re heading down to Artbox Singapore this or next weekend, here are 5 food or drink choices to fill your tummies while soaking in some night market vibes.

Dum Dum Thai Drinks

What’s Artbox without a couple of Thai Milk Tea drinks? Try their Dirty Temptation Latte Series which features both the Dirty Thai Milk Tea ($6) and Dirty Thai Green Milk Tea ($6) with Brown Sugar Konjac Ball toppings.

If you’re looking for something that’s not so heavy, we highly recommend the Dirty Thai Green Milk Tea.

Oddball

Perhaps one of the more Instagrammable dishes here at Artbox Singapore is the ice-cream from Oddball. We got a scoop of Lavender Honey Ice Cream ($5.50) topped with a torched meringue ($2). If Lavender Honey is not your thing, you can choose from an array of flavours such as Earl Grey, Honey and Fig and Belgium Chocolate.

As the torched meringue is more on the sweet side, we highly recommend pairing it with a lighter flavour like Earl Grey.

Kazo Cream Puffs

Kazo has specially prepared a Thai Milk Tea Cream Puff ($2.50) for Artbox Singapore. To all Thai Milk Tea fans out there, this puff is only available from 15 to 17 November, so try it while you can! As for those visiting on 22 to 24 November, they can look forward to a special Mango Cream Puff.

For milk lovers, you’ll love the original Kazo Polo ($3) filled with a generous serving of milky cream.

Noodz Origins

One of the new vendors participating in Artbox this year is Noodz Origin. Their Mentaiko Fish Cubes ($6.50) is a unique take on one of the local favourites – Fishballs!

Topped with bonito flakes and crackling pork bits, the dish felt like a Japanese and Singapore fusion dish. The intense burst of Mentaiko lingering in your tongue will make you go back for more.

Mala lovers rejoice! Noodz Origins also created a Mala-version of their fish cubes, and they are topped with Mala sauce and crushed peanuts for an authentic Mala experience.

Teabrary

Managed by Mediacorp Host Vivian Lai, this humble tea brand introduces two new flavours here at Artbox Singapore. Our favourite was the Ananas Tea ($7.90) which was a combination of Assam Valley Black Tea with Pineapple Fruit Jelly.

Another new flavour introduced here is the Lemongrass Green Tea ($6.90) which is a lemongrass-infused cold brew high mountain green tea.

We overheard that these flavours would soon be introduced at their stall located at Esplanade Xchange, but as for now, it is strictly only available at Artbox.

A 200,000 Square Feet Photo Spot

Artbox is a great place to relive some of your BKK holiday memories while munching on some Thai food. If you’re not a foodie, Artbox Singapore 2019 is a great spot for photos as well. Make sure to snap some photos with different graffiti container backdrops, or simply chill out and lounge at some hammocks near the stage area.

If you’re someone who enjoy crafts, make sure to head over to the Garden of Creation for some workshops. From watercoloring workshops to mini pottery painting, these hands-on activities are great for igniting your creativity. However, do note that workshops on both weekends vary.
