The drama tells the dynamic of Kim San (Byun Yohan), an aspiring politician and dubious fixer Park Doo Chil – AKA Uncle Samsik (Song Kangho). Kim San hopes to bring Korea to prosperity, much like the American dream he witnessed while studying in America.
Doo Chil has a reputation for doing whatever it takes to get things done, and he offers his support to Kim San. Together, the two navigate the tumultuous landscape of 1960s Korea to achieve their goals.

An exciting part of this show is the fact it’s Song Kangho’s debut on a series! Renowned for his roles in hits like ‘Parasite,’ which won the Palme d’Or award at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, and is a significant milestone after 35 years in film. Alongside him is Byun Yohan, known for his roles in hit drama “Mr. Sunshine” and “Six Flying Dragons.”
