When I had the opportunity to head down to TK TrichoKare to try out their treatment service, I was thrilled because I’ve been facing some hair loss issues and wanted to get it checked out.
I visited the TrichoKare outlet at Ngee Ann City where I was first tasked to fill in a sheet with details of my hair & scalp troubles.
Hair & Scalp Analysis
The session began with the Trichologist/Hair and Scalp Specialist analysing my hair and scalp using lens that magnify up to 200 times. Looking at your scalp up close was strangely interesting yet weird at the same time.
Unlike most girls, I personally feel the need to wash my hair every single day because of how oily it gets, which is why I felt like I had an oily scalp. However, the Trichologist/Hair and Scalp Specialist over at TrichoKare informed me that I actually had a rather dry scalp that’s lacking in hydration.
The excess production of oil is caused by the scalp’s need to compensate for the lack of moisture which resulted in a couple of clogged pores.
However, I was glad to hear that the dryness isn’t that bad to cause dandruff yet (small victory!)
Customised Premium European Herbal Scalp Masque
Now that TrichoKare has identified the issues with my scalp, we’re off to the treatments. Starting off with a customised masque for my scalp, with hydration being the main aim for my treatment.
Depending on what kind of scalp condition you have, the masque is customisable for each individual. Mine had a minty, cooling sensation, which immediately made my scalp feel clean and fresh.
OxyNutrient & OxyJet
After washing off the masque with a revitalising hair bath, the next step of the treatment was to infuse some nutrients back to the scalp with a customised ampoule that aids in hair growth & thickness.
This was applied using a machine that used localised pressure to ensure maximum absorption. Then, followed by an OxyJet step that supplies oxygen to the scalp, which helps to accelerate the scalp’s cell metabolism and improve blood circulation.
Photodynamic Therapy
Ending the session with a Mario Kart moment with TrichoKare’s Photodynamic Therapy. The laser light technology helps support hair regeneration and accelerates healing. After a while, it started to feel slightly warm which I attributed to increased blood circulation.
