Revamped Anchorpoint Mall Brings Exciting Lifestyle Offerings To Queensway Neighbourhood

Did you know that Anchorpoint used to be the spot for a brewery? That’s where it got its name, from being the site of Anchor Beer Brewery! The current spot where Common Man Coffee Roasters is used to be the Brewmaster’s House. While you might just know Anchorpoint as the mall opposite IKEA, the mall underwent a revamp in recent years and is now an exciting spot in Queensway!

Where Old Meets New

The mall has partnered with local design firm Amongst Studio to incorporate contemporary design elements into its interior. You’ll find arches mimicking the hull of a boat alongside travertine stone flooring near the main entrance, which symbolizes the mall as an anchor point for the surrounding neighbourhood.

In the basement, there’s also a sea of mosaic tiles which is often used as the mall’s event space.

Apart from old favourites like Cotton On and Jack’s Place, you’ll find convenient facilities like Mr D.I.Y. Mister Minit and Straits Clinic. There’s also a Cold Storage here for grocery shopping.

Newer Offerings At Anchorpoint

For cafe lovers, you’ll find lots of new cafes here, such as Common Man Coffee Roasters, and the Anchorpoint outlet is undoubtedly one of our favourites.

There’s also Overbrod, which serves up Scandinavian-inspired fare is one of the more interesting options here. Their open-faced toasts using in-house baked bread is a must-try!

Right next door is Anagram Coffee, which is an independent homegrown cafe founded by a local Muay Thai champion. The aesthetic cafe serves up a rotating range of great coffees featuring both local and overseas roasters.

Fans of Tiong Bahru Bakery can also enjoy their iconic croissants and bakes over at the Anchorpoint outlet. There’s also The Marmalade Pantry which serves up all-day modern bistro fare. They are also going to be having an exclusive Yuletide Feast menu from now till 7 Jan 2024, perfect for the year-end festivities!

Wellness at Anchorpoint

The mall is also home to not one, but two yoga studios! Yoga Movement is located right above Common Man Coffee Roasters, while Nithya Priyan School of Yoga and Yoga Movement is located in the basement.

From 25 November to 24 December, Anchorpoint will be having a Christmas Arcade Pop-up and is also set to usher in the new year with their latest tenant, McDonald’s!
