Halloween Horror Nights 10 Is Back This Year With Special-Forces Themed Haunted House, Zodiac Scare Zone And More

Spooky season’s around the corner, so what better way to commemorate the month of scares than to go for Halloween Horror Nights 10! From now till 5th November 2022, this is the event’s 10th run after a 2-year break from COVID, and it’s back with a vengeance. This year’s HHN 10 promises a list of scares enough to shake you to your core.

This year’s HHN offers a Live Show to open the event, three themed Haunted Houses, two unique Scare Zones and a number of Special Experiences to add to the fun.

The Silenced Auction: A Live Show

The Halloween Horror Night experience opens with The Silenced Auction, the live show to kick off the night’s events. Here, we are introduced to The Killustrator, a murderous artist with aim of bringing his obsession with horror to life – that also happens to be the main character for this year’s HHN theme. The lightning, music and acting are all on-point, adding to the excitement and energy for the rest of the night.

Horrifying Haunted Houses: An Obsessed Artist, An Underground Bunker And A Haunted Hotel

The Haunted Houses this year boast unique horror concepts, most notably the Killustrator: The Final Chapter, which also happens to be the main theme this year. The Killustrator is a mysterious figure whose obsession with Halloween Horror Nights grows beyond pen and paper. You can even peek at his sinister artworks online on Instagram.

The decoration in the haunted house was extremely immersive with pop-art comic book panels, neon lights and cursed creatures. You can get up close and personal into Killustrator’s works and explore the vicinity – that is before he comes and gets you.

Operation: Dead Force brings together the horrors of zombies and enclosed spaces in a bunker-style maze. Here, you work together with the Special Forces Against the Dead (S.F.A.D.) to outrun zombified soldiers – complete with an alien-bunker inspired maze and abandoned plane cockpit.

Since we’re in the hospitality space, the Hospitality of Horror was a fitting themed hotel space with a bloodthirsty hostess that refuses to let you leave. The interior of this haunted house was the most striking, with its grand walls and hallways plus a number of creepy scares that hide in each corner.

Step Into The Scare Zones

The Scare Zone themes this year are the Dark Zodiac and The Hunt For Pontianak, each with their own tragic storylines.

The Dark Zodiac brings together the twelve animals of the Zodiac in a grotesque form, with a sinister 13th Zodiac being re-born. They roam the streets waiting for their next victim, and if you’re walking past this scare zone, it definitely warrants a second look over the shoulder. The costume designs are as intricate as they are horrifying, but the monsters are open to pose for pictures if you ask them nicely. Make sure to catch your Zodiac’s dark prediction on the light-up screen to decide your fate!

In The Hunt For Pontianak, you walk into a forest in search of a group of live streamers who have gone missing after their own quest to uncover Pontianak, a vengeful female spirit from Indonesian horror lore. As you navigate the claustrophobic forest path, be ready to encounter the panicked-stricken hikers, a shaman and the ghostly apparitions of Pontianak waiting to get her revenge. This scare zone was significantly more impactful than Dark Zodiac because of its small walking area, so gear up your courage before going!

Special Sinister Experiences

There are also a lineup of exclusive HHN 10 experiences you can sign up for to add your fun! Try the Escape the Breakout laser tag against demented villains, Monsters & Manifestations, a live show and back-stage tour and round it off with a dangerously delicious time with Die-ning with the Dead, a horror-themed course meal. These all require separate admissions tickets that you can get as add-ons here

If you’re a big fan of Halloween Horror Night and are looking for an all-rounder experience, you can also try for the R.I.P Tour. It comes with a list of benefits including Halloween Horror Nights Express Unlimited pass, two Special Experiences and 10% discount of merchandise and more.

Harrowing But Fun Horror Experience

This year’s Halloween Horror Nights 10 experience promises a slew of memorable horror concepts and activities that will leave you shaking but wanting for more. The overall scare level is at a 7 out of 10, but the art direction, costume design and set ambience that leave an impression that’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
