In collaboration with the World Gourmet Summit (WGS) and the USA Cheese Guild, Grissini has launched a limited-time menu curated by Chef Kenny featuring some of the best USA cheese.

Grissini x Cheese From The USA

A little bit more about Chef Kenny, he started cooking at a young age and honed his skills in Italy in various establishments, including a Michelin-starred restaurant. Here at Grand Copthorne Waterfront, one can expect a menu made using fresh produce from Italy & Japan.

For lunch, there is a 4-course set menu priced at $88+ and for dinner, they have a 5-course set menu going for $188+ alongside a 7-course set menu going for $228+.

Started with some Stuzzichini

One of the menu items featuring USA Cheese is the Parmigiana Di Melanzane. This dish features slices of Shizuoka Amela Tomato and Aichi Eggplant stacked onto one another, with BelGioioso Mozzarella in between each layer. We were particularly impressed with the textures of the dish and how the Oba Leaf managed to elevate the dish overall.

Fun fact: The BelGioiosa Fresh Mozzarella is made from fresh, local milk gathered only a few hours after milking. The cheese is then pulled and stretched to a smooth, porcelain white finish. This cheese has a delicate milky flavour.

The meal is continued with Spaghetti Alle Accuighe, which combined ingredients like anchovy, parsley, and garlic crumbs together. Loved the addition of the garlic crumbs which made the dish a bit more fun and interesting.

For the mains, one can choose between the Orata or the Filetto Di Manzo.

The Orata is a seabream dish with elements of zucchini and Asari clam. On the other hand, the Filetto Di Manzo is a medium-rare tenderloin with artichokes Fiore viola, watercress puree, and veal jus.

End the meal on a high with the Tiramisu, made using Cello Mascarpone Cheese. The dessert was creamy, and it came with a small performance, spraying of the Amaretto!

For those thinking of opting for the dinner menu, you’ll be treated to another dish known as the Gambero Di Mazara, which features Cacique Cotija, a cheese with a strong, salty flavour from the town of Cotija, Michoacan.

The limited-time menu will run till the 8th of July 2022 and reservations can be made via this website.
