The play area spans 4,600sqm with 4 different interactive nature-themed zones – Wetlands, Forestlands, Grasslands, and Drylands

There are many different interactive elements, from responsive digital screens to features that incorporate both sound and texture! They engage all 5 senses to encourage exploration and learning.

For kids who get overwhelmed or overstimulated by the vibrant colours and activity, there are 2 calm rooms available for them to relax and recharge. Sensory kits are also up for loan.

Tickets are available for purchase here.

Wetlands

In Wetlands, kids can discover how water connects different ecosystems and supports life.

As a natural river pathway flowing throughout Curiosity Cove, it guides visitors through the entire playscape.

Along the way, kids can spot various animal footprints, and explore the Reef Retreat where they can learn more about marine creatures.

A large screen surrounds the area and displays colourful marine creatures swimming around, making the space feel like an underwater world.

Kids can also climb the reefs and touch the different corals to spot hidden marine creatures like hermit crabs.

Forestlands

Forestlands represents the Southeast Asian rainforest.

Here, kids can uncover hidden animal homes and experience them.

Kids can look forward to climbing up the 6-metre tall Orangutan Sleeping Platform, or sitting beneath the Bee Hive to hear the gentle buzz of bees at work.

There is even a Microscopic Canopy that zooms in on the different species living at different levels of the rainforest.

Upon stepping in, a digital bubble forms beneath you and follows you throughout. There are also 4 key points (purple flowers in picture) that zoom in on different species when triggered.

We found this really interesting and it was definitely a highlight for us!

Grasslands

Over at Grasslands, kids can navigate around the tall grass where cheetahs and other animals lurk.

This gives them a first hand experience of the social hierarchy of wildlife, and better understand how animals camouflage in the savannah.

Meanwhile, the immersive digital Watering Hole allows kids to see themselves turn into animals by placing both hands on the digital screen.

Drylands

At Drylands, kids can explore desert life and discover how they adapt to survive in harsh, dry environments.

For example, the Lizard Rocks demonstrate how shovel-snouted lizards move by hopping from one foot to another, which earned them the nickname “dancing lizards”.

Another highlight is the Giant Snake Belly, a net playground which allows kids to climb and slither their way through a snake’s belly.

Other Activities

There are other activities available, including an edutainment programme that extends beyond Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and birthday party packages with optional add-ons such as early entry with interactive storytelling and lively dance sessions.

Do refer to their website for their full offerings and more details.
