It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Gardens By The Bay! Immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit at the annual Christmas Wonderland, full of festive light-ups, food stalls and more right at Bayfront.
Christmas Wonderland is open now till 1 January 2023, and will feature a lineup of exciting events.
Christmas Wonderland 2022
The entire expanse of Gardens By The Bay has been converted into a Christmas dreamland with six different sections for you to soak in the festive atmosphere.
Mistletoe Alley
When you first enter, you’ll be greeted by Mistletoe Alley – a row of pop-up stores selling a variety of hand-made gifts, trinkets and more! If you’ve been looking for some Christmas gift ideas, this is the perfect place to get some shopping done. Stalls you can pursue include rayne or shine, Umeshuya and Dollop photo studio.
Games Village
Gear up for more games at Games Village, where you can stand a chance to win cute plushies and prizes at the multiple game booths available. The game selection includes Ring Toss, Pyramid Smash, High Striker and more!
St. Nick’s Square
This is where the bulk of the magic is. In St. Nick’s Square, you can look forward to the iconic Spalliera, an ornate 21-metre high light-up with over 103,000 LED bulbs in stunning colours.
It truly is much more beautiful in person, and you can secure some great pictures with friends and loved ones from any angle. There’s also the Venetian Double-Storey Carousel that boasts horses and spinning teacups in its midst. Do note this ride requires separate tickets priced at $10 each, and can be booked online here.
Have anything important on your wishlist? You can ask Santa personally in St. Nick’s Grove! There is a photo station with Santa Claus that’s located right around the corner of the Spalliera. Do expect a hefty wait though, as the queues can get quite long.
Gingerbread Grove
Some of the highlights of this year’s light-ups are located at Gingerbread Grove, including the Whimsical Windmill and Walk Of Lights.
The Whimsical Windmill is a 10-metre-tall kinetic light display with moving blades, located amongst a field of candy canes and elves. The entire space is designed like a walkway where you can enjoy the lights and snap pictures for memories.
The popular Walk Of Lights also makes a return with a 50-metre-long tunnel fitted with 50,000 programmable LED lights that change in a variety of alluring patterns and colours. It felt almost otherworldly! Make sure to get your cameras ready for pictures here.
Merry Lane
Merry Lane is full of more whimsical light displays that you can snap for photos! There’s the Jolly Express, Poinsettia Castle and even a Gingerbread house decked out in colourful lights.
One segment even includes a Snowland with an igloo and polar bears. The best part? White ‘snow’ will be randomly generated so you can experience the full snowy Christmas experience.
ELFresco
After all the walking and pictures, you can grab some food from the selection of stalls at ELFresco. The lineup includes familiar brands like Brewerkz, Burger & Lobster, Museum of Ice Cream and even Hendricks!
There are snacks and drinks for both children and adults alike, with alcoholic beverages like beer and Rose available from Penfold’s booth. There will also be live performances by local artists to add to the cosy mood.
Christmas Event At Gardens By The Bay
Christmas Wonderland is a dreamy experience with the perfect mix of festive lights and games complemented by a top-notch Christmas playlist played throughout the entire venue. We really felt like we were transported to a Christmas market overseas (minus the weather)!
Despite how pleasing all the light-ups were, the queues did get quite long, so do expect a wait at most of the sections. There are 4 different admission sessions – 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm so you can schedule your visit accordingly.
