Thailand’s Famous Chatuchak Night Market To Return To Singapore From 7 February 2023

There’s something to look forward to in the new year: the world-famous Chatuchak Night Market is coming back to Singapore! From 7 February 2023 to 2 April 2023, the iconic open-air market will be open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 4 pm to 10 pm at The Grandstand in Bukit Timah.

Chatuchak Market’s Thai Street Food Line-Up

The night market will feature some of Chatuchak’s most popular street food stalls, with over 180 vendors selling Thai street food, handicraft and antiques. Some are even flying in specially from Bangkok!

Get your Thai milk tea fix at Cha-Chak Thai Teh Tarik at $4 per cup, with an epic tea-pulling performance by the vendor! If the original Thai milk tea isn’t your cup of tea (pun intended), you can try the Green Milk Tea, Coffee or Cocoa also for $4.

There’s also Thai Roti Prata with their signature Banana Roti ($5) topped with condensed milk and fresh banana slices. Thai roti prata is slightly thinner and more yellow than our regular roti prata because of the eggs used in the dough, making it lighter and chewier!

For something savoury, get the E-Sarn Sausage. This delicious sausage is also known as Sai-Krop E-Sarn, unique to the E-Sarn part of North-eastern Thailand. Made from fermented meat, rice, and sometimes vermicelli noodles, it’s always served with cabbage, fresh chilli peppers & dilled ginger – making for a satisfying meal.

There’s also Thai Prawn Vermicelli, a staple dish in Thailand, or the Mee Korat from the Korat Province. Chatuchak Night Market will feature one of the most authentic Mee Korat stalls located in the province of Korat! Mee Korat includes thin rice noodles fried with bean sprouts and shrimp, served with a thin omelette and fresh lime for an addictive and tasty bite.

These are only a few of the over 100 stalls you can try at the Chatuchak Night Market, so you no longer have to hop on a flight to Bangkok to satisfy your street food cravings!

Experience Thailand In Singapore

On top of the exciting food options, the market will also have 200 seats so you can have your meal in comfort! There will even be complimentary parking or free shuttle buses from Botanic Gardens, Clementi, and Toa Payoh you can take to the venue. Stay tuned for more updates on the Chatuchak Night Market on their Instagram!
