Visitors: Aesthetic Korean Cafe in Tanjong Pagar, Get Their Cream Latte & Black Sesame Cheesecake

A new Korean cafe, Visitors has opened in Tanjong Pagar. Opened by the folks behind Noci Pasta Bar in Suntec, the cafe is neat and clean, and it looks and feels exactly like cafes you’d find in Seoul. The drinks here are delicious, but make sure to save space for their desserts with flavours like black sesame and mugwort.

TL;DR

Come to Visitors, a Korean cafe in Singapore, if you like aesthetic spots and want to experience a slice of Korea in Singapore.

Visitors Cafe Tanjong Pagar

Why Is Visitors a Korean Cafe?

Visitors is the latest cafe in Tanjong Pagar, and it’s run by actual Koreans.

Located directly opposite JANCHI, Visitors features a clean interior with neutral tones and generous natural lighting with windows that open. Although it might not be the best idea during Singapore’s hot afternoons, but it does make you feel like you’re in a café in Korea when they’re open.

It does have a nice slow-living vibe when it’s quieter in the mornings, but it gets crowded from 11am.

What Should I Order at Visitors Cafe?

Over at Visitors Cafe in Singapore, they serve a menu of beverages, brunch plates and desserts.

Drinks at Visitors Cafe

Our top recommendations include the Visitors Cream Latte ($8), which is essentially a Black Sesame Cream Latte that’s available iced only. It’s topped with a silky, nutty black sesame cream before an espresso shot is layered directly over the drink. It’s definitely one of the better black sesame cream lattes we’ve had in Singapore.

For drinks, the Ube Latte ($7) is also not too bad, but a hidden star here is definitely their Brulee Milk Tea ($7.5), which comes with a crème brulee top. The milk tea is brewed in-house and is super fragrant, pairing well with the sweet sugar top.

Food at Visitors Café

For food, you will find brunch plates, like the Truffle Egg Soldiers ($13), which come with strips of toasted baguette that almost look like fries, served with a soft-boiled egg, truffle oil & salt. They also have croissants with various toppings, ranging from sweet to savoury, like apple brie and blueberry cream cheese.

For something heftier, they do offer two sandwiches, a Basil Garlic Chicken Sandwich ($18) and a Jambon Beurre Sandwich ($16).

A nice breakfast option is their Bread and Butter Plate ($17), which is served with two types of sourdough, Comte cheese, butter, salt and a seasonal fruit jam.

Dessert at Visitors

If there’s one thing you need to try here, we highly recommend the Black Sesame Basque Cheesecake ($11). It’s served with a dollop of black sesame cream, which makes each bite so nutty and deep in flavour.

They also have a Mugwort version that’s served with Injeolmi crumble. Personally, we really appreciate the mugwort flavour as it’s something you can’t usually get in Singapore. It’s not too strong and should be acceptable for anyone trying Mugwort for the first time.

Is Visitors worth Visiting?

We appreciate what Visitors is trying to do. It feels less like a quiet pause in the middle of Tanjong Pagar (at least during non-peak hours) and it offers a nice experience of what cafes in Korea offer, without the need to travel to Korea.

The cafe is best suited for cafehoppers, new or experienced, who love finding new aesthetic places in the city. We would recommend visiting during non-peak hours, from 8am to 10am, and from 5pm to 7pm. Great for those finishing a meal nearby at the Korean restaurants such as Obongzip.
