The Marmalade Pantry Celebrates 25 Years, Has A Refreshed Menu with Comforting Bistro Items

It’s not easy for a brand to last even for 10 years, so 25 years is truly a feat! The Marmalade Pantry started as a small stall selling cupcakes, but they now have multiple outlets spread across the island.

The Marmalade Pantry New Menu

For their 25th Anniversary, they’ve introduced a revamped menu showcasing the brand’s well-known classics, alongside new dishes with hints of Asian influences.

Here are some dishes we tried:

We started off the meal with the addictive Fried Brussel Sprouts ($16++), drizzled over with a sesame soy kewpie sauce and topped with some nori & sesame seeds. While there was still some bitterness from the Brussel sprouts, the sauce helped to balance it out.

The Smashed Sweet Potatoes ($16++) was a simple yet well-executed menu item, featuring smashed roasted sweet potatoes tossed in a dill & chive yoghurt dressing. A healthy, protein-packed option is the Chicken Salad ($23++), which sees a mix of leafy vegetables and chicken breast tossed in a Viet-Thai dressing. We loved the addition of the Granny Smith green apples which provided a nice crunch!

The Crispy Barramundi ($32++) is a great option for those who lean more towards fish. The dish was served on a bed of masala potatoes and vegetable chutney and provided a nice touch of familiar flavours.

One of our favourite items from their menu was the Butternut Mac & Cheese ($26++), which we think is a must-try during your visits to The Marmalade Pantry. The dish features a mix of blue cheese cream with black truffle paste, providing an aromatic experience. However, the chunks of butternut added a nice sweetness to each bite, so delicious!

Burgers are a bistro classic, and the Chicken Burger ($28++) here features a nice Korean twist with the chicken thigh glazed in a house-made spicy garlic soy sauce. It’s served together with some thick straight-cut fries, a safe option that won’t go wrong.

Finally, the unassuming Tomato Risotto ($26++) was a very simple dish but managed to capture our hearts (and stomach!) with its combination of simple, yet flavourful ingredients like Stracciatella Cheese and Cherry Tomatoes. We loved that Thai Basil Salsa drizzle, which elevated the entire dish.

Desserts

It’s not a trip to The Marmalade Pantry without trying their cupcakes! They had a Miso Sesame ($6.50++) flavoured cupcake which is a fragrant, nutty black sesame cupcake topped with a slightly salty miso & peanut frosting. It was an interesting, sweet/salty situation, which we enjoyed.

Of course, there are many more options to choose from, such as a Green Tea Basque Cheesecake ($15++) or a Cherry Amaretto Cake ($15++).

25th Anniversary Promotion

To celebrate its 25th-anniversary milestone, The Marmalade Pantry is offering a box of 6 cupcakes at an exclusive price of $25+ (usual price $39+) from now till 31 October 2024, available for takeaway or delivery with orders made via the online website.
